Ad Asset FAQs

Updated

This article covers questions related to the Assets used in Ads, their authors and share settings.

No, author & share settings are not affected when an existing Asset is used in Ads

The Assets used in the Ad will appear in the DAM with:

  • Author = Moderation User

  • Auto Imported = True

  • The Asset will be associated to the Ad Account, not the Page

  • Workspace level share settings are inherited from the Ad Account

    • For example, if the ad account is shared with workspaces A & B, then the asset is also shared to workspaces A & B

The Assets used in the Ad will appear in the DAM with:

  • Author = The user who published the Ad

  • Auto Imported = False

  • The Asset will be associated to the Ad Account, not the Page

  • Workspace level share settings are inherited from the Ad Account

    • For example, if the ad account is shared with workspaces A & B, then the asset is also shared to workspaces A & B

Note: this scenario assumes that the "Import to Asset Manager" button is left unchecked

Yes. The Author of the Asset will be the User who Published the Ad. See the Scenarios below:

  • Scenario 1: Existing Assets

    • User A uploads the Asset into the DAM

    • User B builds an Ad using that Asset and publishes it

    • The Author of the asset will be User A

    • The Asset is not associated with any Account

    • Share settings on the Asset are whatever you set in the DAM

    • Auto Imported = False

  • Scenario 2: Standard Build

    • User A builds the Ad and uploads an Asset to Sprinklr while doing so

    • The Author of the asset will be User A

    • The Asset will be associated to the Ad Account

    • Workspace level share settings are inherited from the Ad Account

    • Auto Imported = False

  • Scenario 3: Draft Build

    • User A builds the Ad but leaves it in a Draft state

    • User B publishes the Ad, for example by setting the status from Draft to Paused

    • The Author of the asset will be User B

    • The Asset will be associated to the Ad Account

    • Workspace level share settings are inherited from the Ad Account

    • Auto Imported = False

  • Scenario 4: Approval

    • User A builds the Ad and sends it for approval by user B

    • User B approves the Ad

    • The Author of the asset will be User B

    • The Asset will be associated to the Ad Account

    • Workspace level share settings are inherited from the Ad Account

    • Auto Imported = False

Note: scenarios 2, 3 & 4 assume that the "Import to Asset Manager" button is left unchecked

No, the asset will only appear in the DAM once the Ad is published (unless the "Import to Asset Manager" option was checked; see below)

Cloning an ad will not change the author or sharing of the Original Ad

If you include a link in your Ad and that inlcudes an Image or Video from the link's landing page, the media will appear in the DAM with:

  • Author = Moderation User

  • Auto Imported = True

  • The Asset will be associated to the Ad Account, not the Page

  • Workspace level share settings are inherited from the Ad Account

    • For example, if the ad account is shared with workspaces A & B, then the asset is also shared to workspaces A & B

While building Ads in Sprinklr, you can select the "Import to Asset Manager" button in the Asset upload screen:

In this case, the assets will be saved to the DAM before the ad is published, with:

  • Author = The user who published the Ad

  • Auto Imported = False

  • The Asset will not be associated to any Ad Account or Page

  • Shared with the Workspace

For smaller volumes of Ads, go to Ads Reporting and build a Paid widget using these dimensions:

  • Ad Variant Name

  • Ad Variant ID

  • Image Asset Name

  • Video Asset Name

  • Media Asset ID

  • Volume of Ad Variants

This will create a widget showing which Asset IDs are associated with which Ad IDs.

For larger volumes of Ads, take an export from the Ads Manager, where "Creative Asset ID" is included in the columns exported
