Create Time Lapse Visualization in Display
Updated
Time Lapse Functionality lets you effortlessly visualize the movement of key performance indicators (KPIs) over a specified time range. This visualization provides invaluable insights into how your metrics have evolved, empowering you to make informed decisions and guide your business strategy moving forward.
Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of your metrics over time, such as mentions, reach, customer engagement, and more.
Trend Analysis: Identify patterns and trends by observing how KPIs fluctuate over different time periods, helping you anticipate future developments.
Comparative Analysis: Compare the performance of multiple values (like themes) side by side over the same time range, facilitating better understanding of correlations and dependencies.
Forecasting: Use historical data to make informed predictions about future performance and trends, guiding strategic planning and resource allocation.
Note: Time Lapse functionality is only available for the Listening and Benchmarking data engine.
Steps to Set up Time Lapse in Display
Click the New Tab icon . Under the Sprinklr Insights tab, click Display within Distribute.
Create a new widget, and select Race Chart from the list of available templates in the library.
Upon selecting the chart, set up or configure your desired data engine for the visualization along with time period options.
Once configured and setup, a time lapse visualisation is created in storyboard with bar chart view by default.
Designing and Customising your visualisation
With powerful design and animation controls, time lapse visualisation can easily be enhanced or modified for cohesive story telling alongside rest of your widget. Navigate to “Design” tab to have following options for chart tuning.
In “Race Chart” section following options are available:
Header: To associate name for your chart in desired way
Date Range: Associate time range configured for the chart in dynamic way if needed in your chart header
Text Shadow: If header section is enabled, customise the text with level of shadow and direction required.
Chart Type: Select the form of visualisation here from either bar, column or line.
Cumulative: Customise the time lapse data points by opting in or out. If cumulative is selected, visualisation keeps on adding data points for every day and show cumulative results else it runs the time lapse for every day individually in your time range.
Full field of view: If top most entry in the chart needs to be fixed relative to other data points, this option needs to be unselected.
Label size: Customise the sizing of labels with respect to chart options.
In “Animation” section following options are available:
Duration: Customise the speed of your time lapse visuals by dragging the slider to your preference.
Limit Loops: On the external URL, in case this chart needs to be played only once when the Display is opened set the option to 1 or it can keep on playing on continuous loop if required.
In “Time Legend” section following options are available:
Time Legend Date Format: Select the format of date legend coming on bottom right of the chart in desired format.
Size: Adjust the sizing of the date legend by simply dragging the slider.
Rest of the sections like Topic/Theme attributes, Axis formatting, Data Labels and Legends can be customised and setup like other chart types available in Display with similar design control options.
