In Manual Pacing, the Budgets and Start & End dates are picked from the details provided within your Pacing Control configuration. The system will directly consider the overall budget for your campaign and linearly control whether the campaign needs to be paused on reaching the spend limit.

Manual Pacing Scenario

Let’s say you have created a Pacing Control Strategy Group with the following details and applied it to a campaign.

  • Overall Lifetime Budget - USD 1000

  • Start Date - 1st July

  • End Date - 10th July

The Pacing Rate will be linear across the entire time period, i.e. 1st July to 10th July, with an Expected Daily Spend of USD 100 (1000/10). Manual Pacing is best if you want a consistent amount to be spent every day.

To Customize Daily Spend

You can customize your Daily Spend Limit based on a day-wise spend for Weekdays vs. Weekends. This will ensure that your daily budget spend is aligned with your business goals. You can set your daily budgets using a custom duration rather than creating separate custom durations to define the weekend spend changes.

Note: Using this capability will not update your ad entity budget; it will only control the Pacing Control Daily Budget.

Click Customize Spend Day Wise from the top right corner of the Daily Spend Limit field.

On the Divide Spend Day Wise pop-up window, enter your Daily Spend Limit and Select Days of the Week when you wish to spend the desired budget limit. Click Apply in the bottom right corner once done. You can add more such day-wise spend limits by clicking Add Another at the bottom.

Note:

  • If you do not provide a budget for a particular day of the week, then the Daily Budget in the input field will be used

  • Overlapping of the time period is not allowed

  • On the Strategy Group Pacing Control configuration window, you can further Edit to add more day-wise spend or Remove your desired configuration.

  • Click Create Strategy Group in the bottom-right corner to complete the process.
