Sprinklr Social: 20.2 Release Notes
Updated
Sprinklr Social is a powerful platform for scaling social media efforts. It offers tools for publishing, engagement, reporting, and more across multiple channels. This release introduces new capabilities designed to elevate customer experiences at every touchpoint, delivering strong business impact.
Note: The Deployment of the 20.2 features is planned from 4th February 2025 onwards.
Publishing
The following features are introduced to the Publishing module for improved experience and efficiency:
Collaborator Pane in Editorial Calendar Export
We are introducing an enhancement to the editorial calendar export by adding a Collaborator Pane, which will capture messages from the ‘Collaborate’ section for documentation purposes. Key limitations to note: emoji reactions won’t be included, media files/attachments will appear as URLs, rich text formatting (like italics, bold, and underline) will be supported, canned responses will be included.
Note: This is currently a limited-access feature. Please contact your Success Manager for more information.
Disabling Account Switcher in Reply Box to Prevent Publishing Errors
In this release, we are disabling the account switcher in the reply box when you respond to fan comments privately (DM) to prevent publishing failures. If you attempt to switch accounts, a tooltip will appear, notifying you that you cannot use an account the fan has not engaged with. This update ensures that you reply from the correct account, helping to avoid any potential issues.
X Premium Account Now Supports up to 25K Characters
X premium accounts can now post tweets of up to 25,000 characters, a significant increase from the previous 280-character limit. Additionally, a premium icon will be displayed on outbound messages to highlight that the account is a premium X subscriber.
Improved Handling of Instagram @Mention Restrictions
In 20.2 release, we have introduced a dynamic property (DP) to convert Instagram @Mentions into simple text if you have disabled tagging in your privacy settings, preventing message failure.
Note:
This is currently a limited-access feature.
To enable this feature in your environment, please reach out to your Success Manager. Alternatively, you can submit a request at tickets@sprinklr.com.
View Post Hyperlink for Third Pane Actions
You can now click on the ‘view post’ hyperlink for the following actions in the Third Pane: Recall, Approve, Reject, and Reschedule. This feature will be available in the Editorial Calendar, Third Pane, Outbound Columns of the Engagement Dashboard, and the Production Dashboard.
Option to Add Flairs While Publishing on Reddit from Sprinklr
With the 20.2 release, on selecting a Reddit account in Quick Publisher, you will now have the option to choose a flair while creating a post. A dropdown menu will display all available flairs, allowing you to select one when publishing to a subreddit through Sprinklr, similar to the collections feature. The selected flair will appear in the post preview, and you’ll also have the ability to modify or remove it during post editing.
Note: This feature is currently available only for Reddit.
Support for Managing Deactivated Accounts from Publisher
You can now add, re-add, activate, or notify admins about deactivated accounts directly from Quick Publisher. This feature enhances account management and workflow efficiency for various personas. It is available for you if you have the appropriate permissions across supported channels, including Facebook Page, Google My Business, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tiktok Business, Twitter (X), and YouTube, with plans for future channel expansions.
Enhanced Instagram Notifications for Copyright Violations and Copyright Errors
We understand that the current copyright violation notification may cause confusion, leading you to believe that your post will not be published, which might result in duplicate submissions. Additionally, some of you may receive this notification after publishing and mistakenly assume the post has failed.
To address this, we are changing the notification tone from a warning to a disclaimer. This will clarify that Sprinklr will not block the publishing of a post but notify you of copyright errors or violations. These updates are being implemented across Quick Publisher, the Third Pane, in-platform notifications, and email alerts, with all warnings being replaced by informational messages (no red icons).
Message Type | Old Message | New Message |
Copyright Violation | We have detected copyright violation for the selected media in Instagram Carousel. To resolve this, change the media and try to publish again. | Copyright violation detected for the selected media in Instagram Carousel. This may impact your post, but Sprinklr will not block the publishing. Please review and take action if needed. Know More. |
Copyright Error | Copyright detection failed for the selected media in Instagram Carousel. Please try again. Retry <KB article link> | Copyright detection didn't work as intended for the selected media in Instagram Carousel. This does not block publishing of your post. To avoid copyright violations, please try again. Retry. Know More. |
Updated Media Limit for Threads Carousel Posts
In the 20.2 release, we are introducing an updated media limit for Threads carousel posts. You will now be able to publish up to 20 images, videos, or a mix of both, with text being optional for Carousel posts.
Reporting
The following features are introduced to the Reporting module for improved experience and efficiency:
Dashboard Level Account Health Alerts – Reporting
In the 20.2 release, we are launching Dashboard-Level Account Health Alerts in the Reporting Dashboard to keep you informed of any data availability issues caused by accounts in Inactive or Action Required states. This new feature provides clear, real-time alerts directly on the dashboard, helping you quickly identify affected accounts and take immediate action—reducing frustration and improving your overall experience.
Note: The Accounts shown are based on the dashboard/widget configuration.
Standard Dashboard for Threads
The Threads Standard Dashboard is a new addition to the suite of standard dashboards. It provides analytics that enable you to track and visualize essential key performance indicators (KPIs), offering valuable insights into your Threads audience. With data pulled from Threads Insights, you'll be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of your Threads campaigns to clients or marketing executives.
Note: The Threads Standard Dashboard is currently a limited-access feature. Please contact your Success Manager for more information.
Standard Metrics Configuration - Social Reporting
In this release, a configuration screen for standard metrics has been introduced to allow you to customize how certain metrics are calculated and displayed in reports. The new feature aims to make Sprinklr common metrics like Total Engagements, Post Comments, etc., configurable, so you can choose the appropriate metrics for your reports. Additionally, for Total Engagements, you can select which types of engagement (e.g., likes, comments, clicks) to include in your calculations based on your requirements. This customization allows for more accurate reporting, tailored to your needs.
Note: This is currently a limited-access feature. Please contact your Success Manager for more information.
Handling Deprecated Metrics in the Reporting Glossary
In this release, the Reporting Glossary module fixes tags for New and Deprecated metrics, now conveniently displayed at the far right of the Description field. When a new metric is added, a New tag appears for 30 days from its introduction, while a Deprecated tag marks metrics that are no longer active. As and when the glossary is updated, the list of deprecated metrics will be updated. Furthermore, we have added an Export button next to the Favorite button, allowing you to export a list of dashboards where each deprecated metric is plotted.
Revamped Design of Standard Dashboards on Reporting Home Page
In this release, a new side navigation has been added to the reporting section, which includes a dedicated screen for standard reports that were previously hidden in a dropdown. To improve accessibility, standard dashboards are now organized into categories on the home page. When you click on a category, the dashboard opens with demo data and prompts you to add an account if needed. Each category has a brief description and an overview of the dashboards. If the required account is added, data will populate; if not, demo data will appear with a suggestion to add an account. This update aims to enhance the discoverability of standard reports, making them easier to access while retaining the same reports with an improved interface.
Note: This is currently a limited-access feature. Please contact your Success Manager for more information.
Enhanced Widget Builder Functionality: Categorization and Search Improvements
In this release, we've improved both the categorization and search functionality in the Widget Builder. Metrics and dimensions are now organized into clear, use-case focused categories—such as Post Performance Analytics, Account Performance Analytics, Media Asset Analytics and Audience Demographics Analytics—making it easier to find the right metrics. Additionally, we've enhanced the search and sorting capabilities, allowing you to search by metric/dimension title, description, and more, with fuzzy search integration for better results. These updates streamline the process of tracking engagement, content performance, geographic distribution, and integrating external analytics.
Note: To get the new bucketing enabled, please reach out to your Success Manager.
Engagement
The following features are introduced to the Engagement module for improved experience and efficiency:
Comment Summarizer and Insights Feature in Engagement Dashboard
The Comment Summarizer and Insights feature is designed to help you efficiently manage customer feedback across multiple social platforms by automatically collecting and analyzing comments. It combines the capabilities of the Comment Summary and Comment Insights features. The Comment Summary aggregates all comments for posts with at least 10 comments, categorizing them and flagging specific intents such as questions or complaints for quick review. Complementing this, the Comment Insights feature provides a deeper analysis of audience sentiment, enabling more strategic engagement. The tool also highlights comments that require urgent attention, such as customer complaints or inquiries, ensuring timely responses. Additionally, the Comment Summary includes a Translate Option, allowing you to translate the comment summaries into the language set in your Sprinklr platform, making it easier to manage feedback from a global audience.
Note: Currently, this feature supports Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with plans to expand to additional platforms and languages in the future.
Account Health Screen
In this release, we are introducing the AHS (Account Health Screen), which upgrades account management by transitioning from a simple Active/Inactive model to a three-state system: Active, Inactive, and Action Required. This provides greater visibility into account health across multiple functionalities, including Reporting, Engagement, and Publishing. The system adds actionable tooltips, showing issues like deactivated accounts or configuration errors, with links to detailed diagnostics and resolution steps. You can now easily identify and resolve account issues, such as missing permissions or failed posts, directly from your relevant touchpoints, be it a reporting or engagement dashboard or the quick publisher. Additionally, the system supports displaying multiple account issues in order of priority, streamlining account management and issue resolution.
YouTube Livestream Comment Retrieval in Real-Time
The YouTube API supports fetching live stream comments in real-time, enabling brands to engage during live streams. Recognizing its value, we are integrating this feature into Sprinklr to support reporting on YouTube Live events, benefiting clients with live streaming capabilities. The live stream chat messages will be a new message type in Sprinklr, and you will be able to create a column specifically for the same as well as use this message type in reporting or rule engine.

The following features are introduced to the Channels module for improved experience and efficiency:

New Translate Option in Localization Tab
Sprinklr has added a new Translate option in the Localization tab within the Space UI, allowing Advocacy admins to easily translate strings into selected languages and download them as an Excel file. This enhancement eliminates the need for manual translation across different pages, making the process more user-friendly.
Filter for Inactive Users Within the Advocacy Site
Admins can now filter inactive users directly from the User Management section within the Advocacy Site. This enhancement allows admins to view and manage inactive users without switching to the Sprinklr Space UI.
Scheduling Efficiency Enhancement
Advocates will now be notified when scheduling multiple posts, enabling them to easily check for previously scheduled posts within the manual scheduler while planning. The scheduler will display small yellow dots to indicate posts scheduled for future dates, helping advocates avoid those dates and prevent spamming their accounts. This feature improves scheduling efficiency and reduces account clutter.
One-Click Option to Enable/Disable All Notifications
Advocates can now enable or disable all platform, email, and mobile notifications on the advocacy site with a single click, eliminating the need to manually adjust each notification type. Simply go to the notification preferences and check/uncheck the boxes for platform, email, and mobile notifications to enable or disable all notifications at once.
MS Teams Integration 2.0 in Microsoft Store
Introducing MS Teams Integration 2.0, now available in the Microsoft Store! Clients can directly download the MS Teams app, reducing dependency on the Sprinklr team for setup and installation. This update embeds the entire Advocacy site within MS Teams, allowing admins to pin the app for all employees. Reward Engine Calculator: Streamlining Reward Creation
Setting up the Reward Marketplace is now easier with the new calculator within the Reward Engine configuration. This tool helps admins create rewards by automating the points-to-token conversion and aligning rewards with their budget and engagement goals. It suggests conversion values based on Earned Media Value (EMV) for accurate and fair point-to-token ratios. This also helps set an ROI multiplier to align rewards with the desired return on investment, making the reward system more strategic and impactful.
Spammer Protection Update
We have enhanced our spam protection by adding new conditions in Journey Facilitator to monitor the number of shares a user has done within specific timeframes. Admins can now set up email notifications to alert advocates if they exceed a certain limit of posts shared on their social networks within the days specified by the admins.
Reporting Enhancement:
UM ID of the activity object has been exposed in reporting enhancing data analysis capabilities for admins. Admins can now pivot two reports (one of activity data and the other of channel data) on this new Entity ID dimension in the data pipeline. This allows for more comprehensive and interconnected data analysis. This integration provides a unified view of data, facilitating deeper insights and more informed decision-making.
Distributed
The following features are introduced in Distributed for improved experience and efficiency:
Character Limit for Homepage Configuration
We have set a character limit of 50 for widget titles in the homepage configuration. This limit also applies to widget title translations on the translation page.
Support for Permissions in Distributed Control Panel

Clone Option for Distributed Configurations
Sprinklr has introduced a clone option for the App Configurations in DCP reducing the manual effort of creating a similar configuration for different set of users.
Support for Story, Campaign, and User Profile Widgets in Home Page Widget Library
We have added three new widgets to the homepage widget library, expanding your visualization options. The following new widgets are now available in the widget library -
Story Widget: This widget lets you view and analyze stories from Media Insights across various date ranges. You can use the data to measure PR campaign performance, identify key media outlets and journalists, and enhance brand content.
Campaign Widget: The Campaign widget displays the important campaigns selected by the admin.

Asynchronous Uploads for Large Media Assets in DAM
We have enhanced the asset creation process to support asynchronous uploads. When uploading assets larger than 100 MB, the upload will continue in the background, allowing users to exit the asset creation screen and continue using the DAM. Users will receive a notification once the asset is successfully uploaded and created in the DAM.
Governance
The following features are introduced under Governance for improved experience and efficiency:
Login Configurations - IP Whitelisting
We have introduced an IP whitelisting feature in Sprinklr that enables admins to set IP range restrictions for user logins from Security Settings. This enhancement also allows admins to exclude selected users or user groups from the IP range restrictions. This feature will increase the overall security by negating unauthorized access to Sprinklr.
Support for Rollback Option in Configurator Changes - Users
We have added a revert option in Import Configurations, allowing admins to revert to the previous imports done through Import Configurations for entity type - Users. This enhancement enables admins to undo large, unexpected changes in Sprinklr quickly without needing to contact Sprinklr Support.

OpenID Discovery Document Import
Admins will now be able to auto-fill OpenID SSO configuration fields by importing the metadata (Discovery Document/JSON) file provided by the IDP in the SSO Configuration screen, eliminating the need to manually fill the configuration fields.
