Request Approval for User Generated Content on Instagram without @Brand Mention

You can request approval for Instagram fan posts at individual Instagram accounts without the user @mentioning the brand. There are two ways to request post-approval for Instagram fan posts:
- Via Comment
- Via Chrome Extension
However, please note that the option for requesting approval from users for using their posts is available for message types such as Comment Mentions grabbed through Listening. You can also search assets in the User Generated Content discovery section and request approval for the same.

Before You Begin
You must download the chrome extension sprinklr-ugc-approval-prod and the user must be logged in natively with a business account. Make sure the hashtag used to fetch data is enabled in your environment under Listening.

Note After the chrome extension is added, users need to go to Chrome > Preferences > Extensions and allow the extension access to Sprinklr.com. |
To Request Approval for User Generated Content
Suggest a post to UGC or request its approval as post or as media from the Instagram column in the Engagement Dashboards. Once the content is suggested you can view it under the UGC content column and can Request Approval Via Extension.
- Click the New Tab icon . Under the Sprinklr Social tab, click Engagement Dashboards within Engage.
- On the Engagement Dashboards window, hover over the Request Approval via Extension icon of a post under an Instagram column.
- On the Comment pop-up window, fill in the required details. For more information, see Comment Window — Field Descriptions.
- Click View and Post on Instagram.
- You will be redirected to the Brand Instagram page where the comment will be automatically copied. You can Post it natively on Instagram.
Note
The brand that is requesting approval must be an Instagram Business Account.
- You will receive a success message stating Successfully Asked for Approval. Click Go Back to Sprinklr to return to the environment.
The post will move to Approval Pending status. When the account to which the approval is requested replies with the hashtag, the post will automatically move to the Approved state and will be available in the Asset Manager.
Comment Window — Field Descriptions
Term | Description |
From | The native Instagram account you are logged in to which you want to publish the post. |
Message Type | Select a message type from the dropdown available. |
Locale | Select the desired language type from the dropdown available. |
Text Field | Enter the reply in this field. The word limit is 2200. You can add a photo, link, custom link, use text templates, use content placeholders, emojis. Based on the UGC Template the reply content will auto-populate. |
Campaign | Select a campaign you want the reply to be associated. |
Set as Default | Check this box to make the campaign as default campaign. |
Tags | Enter your tags and press comma/enter to separate your tags. |
Additional Properties | Fill in the additional properties as per your requirement. |
