Allow Distributed users to create text templates

Updated

Distributed users have the permission-based capability to create text assets or templates.

If you, as an Admin, give the right permissions to the Distributed users, they can create text assets or templates on their own. This enables the users to create text templates and manage/edit photo/video assets.

To allow Distributed users to create text templates

  1. Click the New Tab icon. Under Purpose-built CXM Governance Console, click Global Roles within Collaborate.

  2. Click Create Role in the top right corner.

  3. Enter Name and Description in the given fields.

  4. Select Scope from the given dropdown.

  5. Select the Distributed user or user groups under Assigned Users and Assigned User Groups.

  6. Under Role Permissions, search Media Asset in the search bar.

  7. Select Create from the list of roles permissions.

  8. Select Share from the same list of role permissions.

  9. Click Create in the bottom right corner.

To allow Distributed users to create text templates via Control Panel

  1. Click the New Tab icon. Under Purpose-built CXM Governance Console, click All Settings within Settings.

  2. Under the Manage Workspace tab, search and select Distributed Control Panel.

  3. Click New Configuration in the top right corner, or edit an existing configuration.

  4. Enter the required information in the Basic Details tab.

  5. Under the Apps Properties tab, scroll down to the Asset Manager section.

  6. Under Allowed asset types for asset creation, select the asset type or text type from the dropdown, and click Save in the bottom right corner.
