Facebook Best Practices
Updated
In this article, we list out some of the best practices to follow while using Facebook as a channel for your brand’s social media presence using Sprinklr.
Adding Facebook Page Account
Please make sure your personal Facebook account must have an admin role on the Facebook Page that you'd like to add in Sprinklr.
Facebook Page Account can get deactivated from Sprinklr due to Refresh Token expiry, users just need to Re-add the account.
Setting up Account Governance
Always ensure that when adding the account, you have Admin access to the Facebook Page Account to provide permissions to Publish, fetch Engagement and get Reporting Data for the account.
Make sure to always check the Users/User Groups, whom you want to provide Permissions of the account for Publishing and Engagement.
Make sure to add relevant Users/User Groups to the Subscribers list to provide them Notifications for all activities on the account.
Add the Facebook Page account to relevant Account Groups for ease of managing all your social media accounts with Sprinklr.
Publishing
For making the publishing process better you can use the following feature:
Pin your Facebook Page in the Select Account section for easy access.
Select campaigns & sub-campaign for easier performance analysis in future.

Verify the domains for your Facebook Page to enable the following capabilities for publishing Links on Facebook
Add targeting & gating to Organic Facebook posts to create a custom audience based on various demographics like age, location, gender etc.
While publishing a Facebook video or cross video post, add keywords to help people find your video by creating custom Facebook tags in the field named Tags.
Claim the ownership of your published Videos by Monetising the Facebook Video Posts from Sprinklr.
Engagement
If you own the account/private group, or if you are the Admin, you can see messages and reply to the same via Sprinklr. If you are just part of the private group, not an Admin, then you won't be able to check this.
Reach out to specific fans personally by responding to Facebook Comments as a Private Message from Engagement Dashboards.
Businesses have up to 24 hours to respond to a message sent by a person in Messenger when using standard messaging. A bot may also send one additional message after the 24-hour time limit has expired. The 24-hour limit is refreshed each time a person responds to a business.
Sprinklr will consider Brand Posts that @-mention your Facebook page to be external mentions. If you don't wish for Brand Mentions to display as External Mentions in your Engagement Dashboards, be sure to exclude Brand messages and show only messages from Others when creating a column
