This article elaborates on how to automate copying of briefs from parents posts to variants using rule engine. 

How does it work? 

1. Navigate to Rule Engine from the launchpad and start creating a Draft Rule. 

2. Define the Condition. Under “Conditions Applies To The properties of the Draft Message”, the user selects “Is Variant” as a condition. 

3. Define the operator as “Is” and selects “Yes” as values for this condition. 

4. Define the Action. Under “Actions To Actions which are applicable for Draft Message”, the user selects “Copy Message Brief onto Variant” as an action. 

5. Save the rule and enable it 

6. The brief template with the content of the parent brief will get copied and attached to the variant message (irrespective of whether a brief exists or not).
