LinkedIn - Sprinklr Ad Name Mapping
Updated
What’s Changed?
Previously, LinkedIn’s Ad Name was mapped to the Creative Name in Sprinklr. This was due to LinkedIn associating the ad name with the post rather than the ad itself. Additionally, there was no dedicated LinkedIn Ad Name field on the native platform; instead, the Creative Name was displayed as the Ad Name. However, with the introduction of API support, LinkedIn has added a new dedicated Ad Name field, enabling us to directly map and update this field accordingly.
Impact of This Change
For Existing Ads (Ongoing/Old Ads When Edited):
Now that LinkedIn supports an Ad Name field, the first time you edit an existing ad, Sprinklr will set the Creative Name as the Ad Name in LinkedIn. This will also update the Ad Name in Sprinklr, making both names the same at first.
The Creative Name in Sprinklr will now be set to the Ad Name of Sprinklr.
If the ad has a Naming Convention name applied, the Ad Name of Sprinklr will change to the Naming Convention name when you make a second edit (like updating a custom field).
For New Ads:
The Ad Name of Sprinklr will now be mapped to the Ad Name of LinkedIn.
The Creative Name in Sprinklr will be mapped to the Post Name of LinkedIn (which is not visible in LinkedIn’s native UI).
Additional Information
Modifications made due to this update on the ad name will be reflected in the activity log, indicating that the change was executed by the moderation user.
