Question

Reasoning

Who should host the custom live chat page, will it be Sprinklr or brand themselves?

Will impact the amount of customizations possible and project timelines. For more information, see this article

If Sprinklr is hosting livechat page, then do you need a Sprinklr URL or their own custom sub-domain?

This refers to the URL link name on which the customer finally lands. By default then we can do URLs like www.brandname-sprinklr.com. Brands can also opt for custom URL names but that requires additional steps on both customer and brand's side. For more information, refer "Custom Domain Name" section in this article

Which social to live chat link type is preferred, one time or generic?

We provide 2 types of links, for more information refer the Link Types section below.

Which URL shortener you want to use?

If Brand has any specific URL shortner in mind

How do you want to send the link? Macro or canned response?

Effectively if the asset will be sent via a rule triggered by macro or will it be sent by an agent using canned response

This question is required because implementation steps are different for both

Sending via Macro makes sense if the deflection verbiage is standard and you want to do other things (eg. run specific rules, update some CF etc). In this case the deflection asset in sent via a Dialogue tree.

On the other hand, sending the deflection link

Canned response makes sense if you want to personalize the verbiage when sending the link and don't need to update any CF

Link Types

One time link

has a browser and device restriction, i.e. once a user opens the link on X browser over Y device, (s)he will be able to open the link only on that particular browser and device combination. The browser and device combination used for opening the link the first time will be the only combination that can open the link thereafter. This link will have one time expiration period check as well. The expiration time is configurable and applicable only for the first time a user opens the link i.e.

  • If a user opens the link on a browser/device combo within the expiration time, he will be able to access the live chat page on the same combination any time going forward.

  • If a user opens the link on a browser within the expiration time, he will not be able to access the live chat page on any other browser/device combination.

  • If a user opens the link outside expiration time, the link would have expired and the page will show "Sorry, This link is no longer valid and handshake call will have 401"

Generic Links

will not have any browser/device or time restriction for the user. Users can open the link in any browser/device at any time.
