Effectively Align Campaigns using Custom Properties

Apply Custom Fields for Ads through import by selecting/entering the Custom Field value in the appropriate import column.

If you have set default values for Custom Fields, the imported Ads will auto-populate the default Custom Field value for any blank fields. This means that you can leave columns blank to populate a default value, saving time by reducing the manual entry requirement.

Things to Remember

  • Default custom fields auto-populating on import will only take effect for custom fields with a default value and will only affect blank entries, meaning that you can easily override the default entry in your import.

  • For Single Picklist custom fields, you will have predefined drop-downs from where you can directly select the values.

  • All the custom fields and their values will be dynamically populated. So, if you have new custom fields for your ad entities, the latest template export will contain the newly added custom fields as well.
