Create a Link Type Post in Advocacy

Updated

Link-type posts are the type of posts that are created using only a Link (URL) and they don’t contain any explicitly added Image/Video.

How Link Type posts are different from Media Type Posts

The most striking difference between Link-type posts and Media-type posts is the availability of Share functionality for social channels.

Link-type posts can be shared on a Facebook profile account directly from a website without needing to use the mobile app. These types of posts are also usually easier to curate since the visuals of the posts are decided by the metadata of the URL itself.

Steps to Create a Link Type Advocacy Post

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under the Sprinklr Social tab, click Quick Publish within Engage. You can also publish through the publishing option available directly on Advocacy sites.

  2. On the Create Post window, search and select the required Advocacy account(s) in the Accounts field. You can also use Advanced Search to narrow your searches by a series of different filters.

  3. Select Display Content as the type of message.

  4. Add the URL in the ‘Description’ field. Make sure to include the whole URL by including the ‘https://’ part as well. All information related to the URL will be fetched automatically including the visual of the post.

  5. You can configure the Title and description of the Link preview to further customize the post.

  6. Select the social channels on which the posts should be shareable and modify the share copy of individual channel, if required.

  7. Select the Content List to decide on which content tab of the site content should populate on.

  8. Add any necessary targeting related information to the post by either selecting a Target Audience or by configuring the Custom Field values.

  9. Publish the post directly by clicking on Post or Schedule it for later. You can also save it as a draft to continue to publish later on.
