Schedule a draft Message via Workflow Engine

Updated

In this article, you will learn how to automatically schedule a draft message in the workflow engine using service tasks.

How it works

  1. Create a draft message from Quick Publisher or Advanced Publisher

  2. To automatically schedule a draft message, you can first set up a workflow on an outbound message entity, learn more about that here.

  3. In the Outbound Message workflow, use the Service Task action to automatically schedule the message on which the workflow is to be initiated.

  4. Enter the Task Name and its optional description, from the Add Action dropdown select Schedule.

  5. Click on Save to create the task.

  6. Deploy the workflow and initiate it on the required message.

Note:

The draft will only be scheduled, if it meets the required channel criteria. The account should also be added before the schedule action is executed.

Once all the tasks before this particular Service Task is completed, the draft message will be scheduled for the date selected while creating the draft.
