Rules for Asset Management

Asset-specific rules can help you automate the management of assets, enabling you to take actions on assets with no manual action required. Using Asset Management Rules, you can take actions on assets to tag, expire, restrict, and more.

Features of Asset Rules

  • Automate Tagging: You can automate the tagging of your assets in the Social Asset Manager by creating Asset Rules. When automating asset tagging through the Rule Engine, you'll have the option to replace existing tags with new taxonomy or append the existing tag(s), giving you more ways to efficiently update your content library automatically.
     

  • Management Sharing: You can manage your assets for different users and environments, control their visibility, specify restrictions to assets, and change the date for which the assets are available or will expire among other functions using Asset Rules.
     

  • Suggestion Automation: You can automate the process of suggesting assets using Asset Rules. This allows you to send assets that would make good outbound content to teams who can review and select assets to publish.

To Create an Asset Rule

To create an Asset Management Rule, follow the basic steps outlined in Create a Rule. Set the context of your Rule to DAM to create a Rule that can be applied to assets.

To Create an Asset Update Rule

To create an Asset Update Rule, follow the basic steps outlined in Create a Rule. Set the context of your Rule to DAM Update to create a Rule that can be applied for updating assets.
