Use or Edit Data Presets in Display

Updated

In Presentations (Display), data presets are quick saved filter configurations that you can access at any time. If you need to apply the same filters to multiple widgets in your slides (scenes) you can easily leverage the data presets to efficiently streamline and set up your work, without having to apply or update filters manually every time.

To Create a New Data Preset

  1. Navigate to the Presentation (Storyboard) that you want to edit.

  2. On the Manage screen, click the Data tab on the right side of the screen.

  3. Click Add Data Source to avail the list of data engines available.

  4. Enter the custom name of your data preset, so that you can easily remember and call out in your desired widgets wherever required.

  5. Select the data engine along with additional filters, which you want to save together.

  6. Once the preset is configured correctly, click Save. If you are editing an existing configuration, confirm the changes as it will affect any widget using the preset.

  7. To delete an existing preset (if it is no longer required) click the trash icon, and select confirm.

To Create New Data Preset: Existing Widgets

  1. Navigate to the widget on your Presentations slide (or, Storyboard Panel) that has the configuration which needs to be saved as preset.

  2. Click Save as Data Source in the top right corner.

Note: If your widget includes one of the existing data presets, this option will not come up if you add new filters. In those cases, you will first have to click on “Override Data Source” option and then proceed ahead with following steps.

  3. Enter the desired Name for your new data preset to easily call out later.

  4. Select or unselect Save filters with data source if you want to save additional secondary filters also to be included along with your data source configuration.
