Email Alerts for Content in Advocacy

Updated 

You can set smart email alerts for the content you've created within the Rule Engine. This will make it easier to connect with your advocates by sending them weekly and monthly newsletters. This capability will increase your brand visibility, improve your brand recognition and provide you with better brand loyalty. 

Within this article, we will guide you through the following:

  • Creation of Profile List

  • Creation of Email Template

  • Publish Email via Publisher

To Create a Profile List

  1. Click the New Tab icon Screen Shot 2017-09-25 at 1.52.25 PM.png. Under Governance Console, select Global Profile Lists within Platform Setup.

  2. Click Add Profile List on the top right corner.

  3. Fill in all the details and click Save. This will create a partner profile list.

  4. Next, to move advocates to this profile list, click the New Tab icon Screen Shot 2017-09-25 at 1.52.25 PM.png. Under Governance Console, click Manage Rules within Platform Setup.

  5. In the top right corner of the Rule Engine window, click Create New Rule.

  6. On the New Rule window, provide a name and an optional description for your new rule.

  7. In the Rule Engine Builder, add Rule Conditions to set up specific scenarios that must be met for subsequent actions to execute. For instance, under Conditions Applies To "Properties of the Community User", select Project from the Condition dropdown and the desired value from the corresponding dropdown.

  8. Configure Rule Actions that will execute on rules when the conditions are or are not met by selecting Action on a Yes or No branch of Conditions. Here, under Actions To "Community Actions", select Add Community User to Profile List from the Action dropdown and the profile list that you have created within Global Profile Lists from the corresponding dropdown.

  9. Click Enable rule to activate the Rule in Sprinklr. Hence, it moves the advocates to the profile list.

  10. Set a One Time Trigger to add existing advocates to the profile list. To set a rule trigger, select the Options icon Space_Icon_Options (Vertical).png  in the top right corner of the Rule window and select Manage Triggers and add the required details.

To Create an Email Template

  1. Click the New Tab icon Screen Shot 2017-09-25 at 1.52.25 PM.png. Under the Sprinklr Social tab, click Content Templates within Engage.

  2. On the Content Template Builder window, Click New Content Template in the top right corner.

  3. On the Create New Content Template window, fill in the details and click Save.

  4. Next, under the Designer tab, select basic components like Image, Text, Post, Button, etc. to design your Email Template.

  5. Next, fill in the details under the Form Input tab and click Save in the top right corner. This new template can be viewed under the Content Template Builder.

To Publish Email via Publisher

  1. Click the New Tab icon Screen Shot 2017-09-25 at 1.52.25 PM.png. Click the Quick Publisher icon Space_Icon_Publisher.png in the top right corner of the navigation bar.

  2. Select Create Post to open the Publisher window. 

  3. Select the account you want to publish email from.

  4. Next, select the desired email template from the Type of Message field.

  5. Scroll down to the Add Targeting section to add the target recipients for this post. Add the target audience that you have created as a profile list.

  6. Select Schedule Post to send email alerts to the advocates on a weekly or monthly basis.

  7. Click Post in the bottom right corner to publish the post.
