How to Create a Post

Advocates can create and publish diverse content (text, links, images, videos) using the Create External Post feature. They can also use the Brand’s assets for easy creation of a post.

They can share on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. For LinkedIn and Twitter, posts go through the API, while advocates manually trigger sharing on Facebook and Instagram via the Sprinklr Extend mobile app.

To Publish Your Own Content in Advocacy

  1. Logging into Advocacy, on the top left corner of the homepage click Create Post icon and select Create External Post from the drop-down menu.

  2. Admins will see an additional option called Create Advocacy Post under the Create Post drop-down menu, which is for uploading pre-approved content, but most users won’t need or view this.

  3. In the Create External Post window, select the required account in the Accounts field. Each of these channels has different options for the post type. For example, when posting to Instagram, you can choose to create a Post, Story or Reel.

  4. Once you have selected the Twitter account you would like to publish to, enter the content for the post in the Enter Message box.

  5. You can tag or @mention X and LinkedIn accounts(Companies as well as Profiles who have connected their LinkedIn accounts to Advocacy) in your posts. Type "@" and then begin typing an X or LinkedIn account name in the box. You’ll then see a drop-down list of potential accounts you can mention. Select the account you want from the list and continue typing your message.

  6. Under Add Media, upload the desired Photo or Video from your device. You can either click and select the file or just click and drag.

  7. The preview of the post will render on the right pane.

  8. Click Share in the bottom right corner to publish the post on the selected account immediately.

  9. You can also schedule your post for a future date and time by clicking the Schedule Post in the bottom right corner. Select the month, date, and time of publishing.

  10. Click Confirm to save your changes.

Note: Advocates can find the Create External Post in the bottom bar of the Sprinklr Extend mobile app.
