Publish to TikTok Business

You can use the key publishing capabilities in Sprinklr to enhance the content you publish to the TikTok Business account. This article describes the TikTok Business account's specific capabilities for publishing to help you understand how to craft content for best-channel performance.

Note: To promote authentic sharing and avoid spamming, TikTok limits the API video publishing to 2 videos per minute with an upper limit of 20 video posts per day.

Steps to publish on TikTok Business

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under the Sprinklr Social tab, click Quick Publish within Engage.

  2. On the Create Post window, select your TikTok Business account where you want to publish. You can also use Advanced Search to narrow your searches by a series of different filters.

  3. Enter the content for the post in the Caption box.

    • You can also add Custom LinksContent PlaceholdersLinks, previously created Text Templates or YouTube Videos to the post by clicking the Insert icon Screen Shot 2018-06-08 at 2.40.26 PM.png in the bottom left corner of the Caption box.

    • At the bottom right corner of the Caption box, you will see a number representing the number of characters remaining for the caption.

      Note: Characters Limit in Video Caption - 2000 characters

      @-mention Character Limit in Video Caption - 30 characters

    • Click the Emoji Picker icon from the Caption box to open the emoji menu. Use the icons at the top to browse categories, or search the emoji. Click your chosen emoji and it will be added to your message.

  4. In the Caption box, along with the content, you can also include hashtags. To help you, TikTok provides hashtag recommendations for video posts(along with the number of views) based on the keywords you enter in the video caption.

  5. Click Select Media to add a video from the Media Uploader (or Upload Media to select video to upload from your device).

  6. After adding the video, you can change the thumbnail.

    Note:

    For publishing video on TikTok Business, you are required to select a thumbnail from video frames only. If the thumbnail is not selected from video frame you will receive the below warning and no custom thumbnail will be added for the video post.

  7. If you want, you can disable the following options by checking the box:

    • Comments

    • Duets

    • Stitches​

  8. Under First Comment, enter the comment(may include links, names, promotional content, etc.).

  9. Select a campaign from the Campaign drop-down menu to associate your post with. You can also set your campaign as default by clicking Set as Default

  10. Select a sub-campaign from the Sub-Campaign drop-down menu to associate your post with.

  11. Select Tags and Social Bars from the drop-down menu respectively.

  12. You can select URL Shortener to shorten every link that you paste into your message. This helps you make the most of the character limit.

  13. Apply Properties to the post.

  14. Under Approval, set an Approval Type for your post. You can also add an Approval Note.

  15. The preview of the post will render on the right pane. Also, you can click the Preview icon   in the bottom left corner if you have minimized the Create Post window.

  16. Click Post in the bottom right corner to publish the post on the selected TikTok Business account immediately. If you are not ready to publish and want to save your post as a draft, click Save as Draft.

  17. You can also schedule your post for a future date and time by clicking the  Schedule Post in the bottom leftt corner. Select the month, date, and time of publishing. Click Apply to save your changes. Additionally, You can check the Smart Scheduling box at the bottom of the Scheduler box.

  18. To continue publishing the post, check the given Publish Another box at the bottom.

Steps to Change Thumbnail of the Video

Note: The capability to add ot edit thumbnails is permission-controlled. You must have the Update Thumbnail permmission.

  1. After you've selected a video, click Change Thumbnail at the top right corner of the video.

  2. In the Media Uploader window, select the Prominent Frame for the video.

  3. Click Use this frame in the bottom right corner of the Media Uploader window.
