Compose Facebook Automated App Ads

You can create Facebook Automated App Ads for your App Install campaigns within Ads Composer. Automated App Ads leverages powerful machine learning to automatically optimize your campaigns across creatives, audience, optimization, and deliver high-value conversions with less effort.

Automated App Ads are designed to improve your experience with app marketing in three areas:

  • Better performance with AI-powered targeting and improved delivery models.

  • Sustain performance when increasing budgets with machine learning that automatically tests creative combinations to deliver the highest-performing ads.

  • Faster and more efficient campaign management with a streamlined campaign creation flow that reduces the need for manual adjustments.

Things to Remember

  • Supported Objective - App Installs

  • Automated App Ads are restricted to the following campaign structure:

    • 1 Campaign

      • 1 Ad Set (in each campaign)

        • 1 Ad (in each Ad Set)

  • Automated App Ads are not supported for any Special Ad Category campaigns due to API Limitations.

  • Automated App Ads does not support Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO).

To Compose Facebook Automated Ads

  1. Click the New Tab icon. Under Sprinklr Marketing, go to Advertising sub-tab and click Ads Composer within Execute.

  2. On the Ads Composer window, select your Facebook Ad account.

  3. In the Campaign Details section, choose App Install from Select Objective for your Campaign.

  4. Under Campaign Name, enter a name for your campaign or use a Naming Convention.

  5. Select the Store Type and App you want to promote from the section below Campaign Name.

  6. Check the box alongside iOS 14 Campaign if you want your campaign to be iOS 14 compliant. To learn more, see Apple iOS 14 Changes and Impact on Advertising.

  7. Under App Install Campaign Type, select Automated App Ads.

  8. Fill in the other desired details and click Next.

  9. In the Target Audience section, select from an existing target audience, or click Create New Audience to create a new target audience. For more information, see Facebook and Instagram Ads Targeting — Field Descriptions.

    Note

    • You can only select one audience.

    • You can only target your audience based on Location and Language.

  10. Click Save Target Audience to confirm your changes and click Next.

  11. In the Budget and Schedule section, provide the details and click Next. For more details, see Budget and Schedule — Field Descriptions.

    Note

    • Lowest Cost, Lowest Cost with Bid Cap, and Lowest Cost with Min ROAS are the only available bidding options.

    • App Install, App Events, App Install with App Events, and Value are the only available optimization goals.

    • You cannot edit the placements for Automated App Ads.

  12. In the Creatives section, select from saved creatives or click Create new creative to create a new ad creative. After adding your creative, you can preview all the variations. Click Next.

    Note

    • You can add up to 50 images or videos to your ad creative.

    • You can add a maximum of 5 text fields and 5 headlines.

    • You can add only one Call to Action in your creative.

  13. In the Advanced Configuration section, you can view the Campaign, Ad Set, and Ad in the left-hand side pane and make changes to the properties individually. Click Next.

  14. In the Optimization section, you can apply Strategy Group optimizations to your campaign. Click Next.

  15. In the Review section, you can review all the details of the Paid Initiative, Ad Set, and Ad Variant.

    Hover over Publish in the bottom right corner and select Publish to immediately publish your Ad Campaign on Facebook, Publish as Paused to publish without activating it, or select Send for Approval to send your newly composed campaign to a reviewer.
