How to Setup Ads Manager Pivot

Pivot Manager is a single touchpoint where you can leverage various actions to analyze and manage your data. In this article, we will review the actions that you can take from the Pivot Manager window to view and manage your data sets within the Pivot table

Pivot manager properties

  • Navigating to the Pivot Manager will open up the Standard Pivot Table view.

  • The Dimensions and Metrics pivot tables will appear as two partitioned tables that are both horizontally and vertically scrollable. You can drag the table partition to adjust the width of the table you want in a larger view.Scroll Property of the Pivot Table

  • You can save your pivot table Column Width configuration along with the width for the Dimensions and Metrics partition scroll width. Each time you modify any of these widths, you will have an Update option alongside the Table Name, clicking on which will save the configuration. This will allow you to have a consistent and seamless pivot table view every time you open one.Save Column Width Configuration in Pivot Table

  • You can minimize the Pivot Table header section for more data visibility and switch between comfortable or compact views to increase the view area for data analysis.Compact Views

  • Clicking on the Arrow icon Space_Arrow Forwards.png alongside each row will expand/collapse the pivot based on the level structure of your pivot table. You can, thereafter, expand the sub-levels to view the pivot table data.Expand or Collapse a Pivot

  • Double click on a row of the pivot table to view and take the following actions on individual pivots from the bottom Edit panel:

    • Filter from selection - Click to filter the columns of the selected pivot. This will automatically filter out the selection as a separate view. This option will be disabled if the selected row/cell doesn't have any filterable column.

    • Exclude from selection - Click to exclude the selected pivot from the current view. This option will be disabled if the selected row/cell doesn't have any filterable column.

Double Click Actions for Pivot Cells or Rows

  • Any changes made to the pivot tables will be retained if you switch between different tabs. For example, if you have several pivot rows expanded in your pivot table and switch to another tab, you will find your pivot table as it was once you return.Retain Pivot Changes on switching between tabs

  • You can make inline edits to Bid Amounts, Budgets, Names, Start Date, End Date, Strategy Group Name, Strategy Group CPA Limit, Smart Bidding Maximum/Minimum Bid, and Daily/Lifetime Pacing Spent Limit without having to open up the View and Edit pane. 

    Clicking on the Pencil icon Space_Icon_Edit.png to the right of the entity will allow you to make changes inline to the pivot table and save it. Once you have made the changes, the Save and Discard Changes options will be enabled for you to review the changes before saving or reverting to the original value, respectively.

Enablement note: You can forgo the Review workflow and directly apply the changes on saving the inline edit. To learn more about getting this capability enabled in your environment, please work with your Success Manager.

Note:

For the Bid Amount (Ad Set) dimension:

  • If the Bid Strategy is set to Auto Bid for any channel, then you cannot perform inline editing on its Bid Amount. Additionally, you cannot perform inline editing for the following Bid Strategies:

    • Facebook: Lowest Cost, Minimum ROAS

    • Twitter: Automatic Bid - per Video View, Automatic Bid - per 3sec Video View, Automatic Bid - per 6sec Video View

  • You cannot leave the field blank.

Perform Inline Editing

  • You can rename your Pivot Table by double-clicking on the name and entering a new name in the text field. Once you have provided a new name, press Enter/Return and click Update alongside to save the changes.Rename Pivot Table
