Privacy and Exclusion Criteria for Gamification in Advocacy
Updated
While gamification is a very important part of any Advocacy program, sometimes it is necessary to exclude some users or set up some privacy rules.
Why these exclusion criteria may be required
Compliance with Regulations: In certain jurisdictions, like Germany where gambling-related elements are restricted, excluding advocates from gamification ensures compliance with legal regulations and avoids any potential conflicts.
Opt-Out Preference: Offering the option to disable gamification allows advocates who prefer not to participate in the gamification aspect to have control over their experience and engagement with the platform.
What criteria does Sprinklr support
Admins have the flexibility to exclude certain advocates from opting into gamification.
Admins have 3 main criteria for defining Gamification Exclusion:
Disable gamification for all advocates
Selectively exclude certain group of advocates
Provide advocates with an option to opt-out of gamification themselves.
How to enable these criteria
Disable Gamification for All
Gamification can be disabled for the entire advocacy site by simply checking this box in the Admin Console. To turn off gamification for all advocates on an Advocacy site, simply use the "Disable Gamification" checkbox located in the Gamification tab within the Admin Console.
Selectively exclude certain group of advocates
In compliance with legal regulations, global enterprises may choose to disable gamification in specific regions. Selective exclusion approach allows brands to tailor gamification settings based on regional requirements
To do this, you can create a community rule and use a filled screener question, profile list, or any user property as a condition for the rule. In the Action field, select the option "Disable Gamification".
Provide advocates with an option to opt-out of gamification themselves
Brands at times may want to give a manual opt-out option in gamification to provide advocates with control over customizing their gamification preference.
This can be enabled by checking the ‘Allow users to toggle gamification for themselves’ checkbox in Admin Console.
On site, users can disable Gamification from their profile.
Note: In case gamification is enabled for the site at a later stage, any previously completed activities will not be retroactively rewarded with points.
