Ads Product Catalog Permissions & Governance
Updated
Sprinklr offers System Admins to control who can use, create and edit Product Catalogs via a combination of Role permissions and Share settings of individual Product Catalogs.
Product Catalog Role Permissions
In All Settings > Manage Customer > Roles, there are the following permissions for Product Catalogs. Note that to use these, the "Ads Settings > View" permission is also required, so that users can see the Product Catalog section within the Ads Tools & Settings page.
Permission | Description |
View | Allows users to see Product Catalogs and use them in Ads Composer, Ads Reporting, etc. |
Create | Allows users to create a new Product Catalog using the Ad Accounts & Business Managers they have access to. |
Edit | Gives users access to the “Edit”, “Manage Catalog” and “Sync Data” buttons on Product Catalogs. |
Clone | Gives users access to the “Create a new catalog similar to this catalog” button. |
Delete | Allows users to delete Product Catalogs. |
Import | Gives users access to the “Import Product Catalog” button. |
Share | Gives users the ability to share Catalogs |
Product Catalog Share Options
In addition to the tools a user is able to access, as governed by their Role, individual Product Catalogs can be shared at the View and Edit level.
View-level Share: Users are able to use the Catalogs when building, managing, reporting on and optimizing Ads
Edit-level Share: Users are able to use the Catalogs as above but also Edit, Clone, Share Delete and Manage them, provided they have those options in their Role.
Sharing can be done Globally, or at the Workspace, User Group and individual User levels.
The amount of access a User will have to a Catalog will be based on the combination of their Role and Share access, as shown in the table below:
Role Permission | Catalog Permission | Resultant Permission |
View | View | View |
View | Edit | View |
Edit | View | View |
Internal Note: Catalog sharing is controlled by the DP "PAID_CATALOG_ASSET_LEVEL_PERMISSION_ENABLED".
