Best Practices
As a best practice, please ensure the following:
Instagram is one the very few channels that provide the capability to preload the media before publishing the post, allowing users to avoid any unnecessary publishing delays. To know more about this functionality in Sprinklr, check out Pre-upload Media for Publishing at Exact Schedule.
We have enhanced the Instagram Video Publishing for Mobile Publishing flow. The following changes are applicable:
The maximum allowed size for video with a duration of 10 minutes should now be less than 650 MB for Instagram mobile publishing flow.
The maximum allowed size for a video is 3.6GB if you select a video with a length between 3s to 60mins for Instagram mobile publishing flow.
Opt for a vertical 4:5 aspect ratio grid view instead of a square 1:1 ratio for photo posts and video thumbnails to prevent cropped and distorted visuals.
Here are the steps to change your view from square (1:1) to vertical (4:5):
1. Start by navigating to the Quick Publisher (QP) interface.
2. Select your Instagram account and add content.
3. Scroll down and click on Select Photo or Upload Photo for images, or Select Video or Upload Video for videos.
4. After uploading, click on the whitespace next to the photo or video. A side panel will appear with various options, including Settings.
5. Click on the Settings icon in the side panel.
6. Click the Desktop icon to access the dropdown menu with a list of aspect ratios for different Channels.
7. In this dropdown, locate Instagram and choose the 4:5 aspect ratio.
8. Adjust the image to fit the selected aspect ratio, then click Apply, followed by Save in the top-right corner.
9. Once saved, you will be redirected to the QP screen where you can review and make any necessary changes to your content.
10. Once satisfied, click the Post button to share your content.
