Edit a Project

Overview

If you are a Project Owner or Admins, you can edit or update the details of your Project. You can edit standard properties like Name, Status, Priority and, Start and End Dates. You can also add or remove Collaborators, add, remove or update Project Dependencies and edit other custom properties.

Note: Only Project Owners/ Admins are allowed to edit project details

To Edit a Project

1. Navigate to the Portfolios window, find the relevant Portfolio containing Project you want to edit. Access the Edit option by hovering over the Project’s card in the Portfolio window

2. Alternatively, click the View Portfolio button on the top right corner. Find the Project you want to edit and click the Options icon on the left side of the Project's name.

3. From the Options menu, select Edit.

4. In the Edit Project window, you can edit the Project Name, Status, Priority, Start/End Dates and more.

5. The Parent Project field allows you to move the Project under a different Parent Project.

6. The Collaborators field allows you to add, remove or update access permissions for Collaborators on the project.

7. The Project Dependencies field allows you to add, remove or update Project Dependencies (other Projects or Tasks that are blocking or are being blocked by the current Project)

8. Clicking the Show More Fields option reveals more fields that allow you to update custom and advanced properties of the Project. You can designate Project Managers, add Project Stage, include Risk Management details and more.

Note: You cannot edit the Project Code and Project Template. Additionally, only the current Owner of the Project can change Project Ownership.
