How to Optimize Ads Based on their Comment Sentiment via Rules

Updated

Monitor your campaign performances closely, mitigate risks by getting insights about any negative sentiments on your posts and optimize your campaigns for better performance.

Social networks are the most influential medium for finding inspiration for purchases. What other people say about a business or product can highly affect the potential customers it attracts. Negative reviews stop 40% of buyers from wanting to use a business. Ad Comment Moderation can help you avoid this.

You can monitor your campaign performances closely and mitigate risks when a post receives too much negative sentiment using the Paid Rule Engine. This will allow you to optimize Paid Initiatives based on the sentiment of ad comments to reduce media waste and generate alerts when the positive, negative, or neutral sentiment count hits a specified threshold.

To Configure Rules using Comment Sentiment

Notes:

  • You will need to perform an analysis per brand to determine a benchmark on what is considered as a sizeable level of negative/positive comments to warrant flagging.

  • The Rule can only use volume of Positive / Neutral / Negative comments in the conditions, not percentages.

  • To take actions such as hiding comments based on sentiment, use Inbound Rules.

  1. On the Rule Builder window, click the Screen Shot 2017-10-05 at 1.11.49 PM.png icon and select Add Condition. Start configuring your rule by setting the condition under Conditions Applies To 'Properties of the Ad Variants' and select one of the following options:
