Overviews
Views let you view the information relating to Tasks and Projects within your Portfolio in different ways. The details of Tasks/ Projects remain the same but different views allow you to visualize your work in different ways and parse the information differently.
Some views, like Kanban are better at helping you visualize backlogs and understand how many Tasks/ Projects are in different phases of work or under different categories. Calendar views are useful for visualizing projects across a specific time period and viewing their start dates, due dates, and other time-specific milestones.
Project Management and Collaborations offers four views to visualize both Projects and Tasks: Sheet, Calendar, Timeline and Kanban views.
Sheet
Sheet view is essentially a spreadsheet view that presents your Tasks/ Projects arranged in rows with columns that show you individual details of all Tasks/ Projects including Status, Priority, Start/ End Dates, Assignee/ Owner and other customizable details. Sheet view includes both Standard Columns that are auto-generated with each Task/ Project as well as custom columns for details and other information specific to your project.
Sheet view is ideal for getting a broad overview of your Project/ Portfolio and viewing specific details of each Task/ Project.
Calendar
Calendar view consists of a calendar type interface where you can visualize your Tasks/ Projects across a specific time period. You can view Projects by week, month or current date and Tasks by month or current date. You can also view a weekly summary of your Tasks.
Calendar view is ideal for editorial calendars, time-based marketing campaigns, content calendars, product timelines and other such time-based projects.
Timeline
Timeline view is essentially a combination of Sheet and Calendar views. This view shows you a list of your Tasks/ Projects on the left side as a sheet, while on the right side you can view the timelines of each Task/ Project across a calendar type interface.
Kanban
Kanban view presents Tasks/ Projects in a Kanban board type interface which is a method of lean project management. Kanban boards present Tasks/ Projects as stacks sorted on the basis of customizable criteria. You can stack your Tasks/ Projects by Status (phase of work), Priority, Assignee, Objective or any other criteria suitable for your needs.
Kanban view is ideal for content production workflows, agile development and other similar use cases.
