Sign-up/Log-in Methods

Updated

Sprinklr Advocacy supports multiple ways of logging into the platform. Depending on your company’s requirements, different methods can be used to allow users to sign up/log in onto the platform.

Primarily there are three login options available:

  • Single Sign-On

  • Email Login

  • Social Login

These login options can be used as standalone options or in combination.

Single Sign-On

This is the most recommended way of signing up to an Advocacy platform. If your company has added the Single Sign-On app on the Sprinklr environment, you can easily get it enabled for the Advocacy platform to allow employees to log in, using their corporate credentials.

Users can find and click on the Log In button on the Advocacy site landing page.

Clicking on this button will take users to the company’s login page where they can add their company credentials and sign-up to the platform.

Upon authorization, users will be redirected back to the Advocacy site from where they can fill in the screener questionnaire as part of their onboarding and continue using the site.

Since with SSO (Single Sign Ons), we know that the user is an authorized employee, we can set up Auto-Approval process to automatically approve users logging in through this SSO option. This makes it easier to govern the access control of the Advocacy platform.

Email Login

You can also enable an Email Login option where users can create a Sprinklr Advocacy account with their own Email and Password.

To ensure only relevant users are signing up to the platform through this option, you can set up email domain validation to ensure users are only signing up using their company emails. After adding this validation, we can add a similar Auto-Approval process to automatically approve user applications.

During the new account creation process using this method, users will need to verify their email address to ensure that the input email is valid. Additionally, you can also customize the specifics of password requirements.

Social Login

If you want to allow users to sign-up and login to the platform using any of their social accounts, you can enable the social login option.

Sprinklr Advocacy supports sign-up and login with various social channels account such as:

  • LinkedIn

  • Twitter

  • Instagram

  • Facebook

  • TikTok

Users can click on the login button and find the social channels icon with which they want to login into the platform.

After selecting the social channel, users will need to log in to their social accounts and provide some permissions to allow Sprinklr Advocacy to create a user profile and to perform various social actions like Sharing, Retweeting, etc.

Using both SSO and Social Login

Admins can use both SSO and Social Login as the login methods for Advocacy. This can be leveraged for users who are using SSO as their main login type but have employees who are temporary/contractual and hence don’t have SSO credentials. The employees without SSO credentials can use one of their social profiles to login into the Advocacy program.

Steps to Use Both SSO and Social as Login Options for the Advocacy Site

  1. Navigate to the Login tab in Admin Console

  2. To let the users use SSO and Social log in to the Advocacy site, check both the boxes

  3. Choose the preferred SSO Login apps in the field below.

  4. Choose the template for the login page.

  5. Update the login page from the HTML/CSS section to your need.

  6. Click Save

  7. Hover over the Options icon, and click Publish to publish the site.
