Block Profanity or Red Flag Key Words (via Rule Engine)

Updated

Automate the process of blocking profanity or red flag key words in outbound messages thereby eliminating manual effort for users based on some predefined criteria.

Example use case shown below: If the owner of the campaign is “Agency 1” then the visibility of the campaign is set to “Agency 1” User Group and the “Blueprint” workspace visibility is removed.

How to set up

  1. Click the New Tab icon. Under the Platform Modules, click Rule Engine within Collaborate.

  2. In the top right corner of the Rule Engine window, click Create New Rule. For more information, see Create a Rule.

  3. On the New Rule window, fill in the required details. Make sure you select Pre Publishing from the Context dropdown.

  4. Modify the values for Activation Date, Rule Execution Batch, Rule Type, and Custom Fields. To proceed with the default values, click Next in the bottom right corner.

  5. On the Rule Builder window, select Add Condition to set up specific scenarios that must be met for subsequent actions to execute. You can also chain multiple conditions together to refine the scenarios. For more information, see Pre-Publishing Rule — Conditions.

  6. To define profanity or the keyword list, select the list you wish to include from the Keyword List dropdown under the Message Keywords condition in the "The properties of the outbound message" section. To select these keywords in this section, one should first configure it with all the necessary words.

  7. In this example, we are using the condition as Message Keywords Contains Brand Red Flag Keywords, under the section “Conditions Applies to Properties of the outbound message”.

  8. To configure actions in a rule, select Add Action on the Yes or a No branch of the condition depending on when you want the action to be executed. For more information, see Pre-Publishing Rule — Actions.

  9. Select Recall as the Action that you wish to perform when the condition becomes true under Actions To Control the visibility of Post.

  10. Additionally you can email the author (and others) of the outbound message being recalled from publishing.

  11. Click Save in the bottom right corner to finalize the creation of your new rule, or Save as Draft to create a draft version of your rule.
