Publish Instagram Reel

This article helps you with the steps for publishing Instagram Reels through Sprinklr. Reels are short, entertaining videos on Instagram, where you can express your creativity and bring your brand to life. People come to Reels to participate in cultural trends, collaborate with the community and discover new ideas.
Supported Publishing Type
Direct Publishing to Instagram requires you to add your Instagram Business Account to the Sprinklr platform. Regular Instagram accounts cannot directly publish but can schedule to Instagram through the Sprinklr platform and publish to Instagram using the native app.
Steps to Publish Instagram Reels
Click the Publisher icon in the top right corner of the top navigation bar and select Create Post.
In the Create Post window, search and select the required Instagram Business account(s) in the Select Accounts field. You can also use Advanced Search to narrow your searches by a series of different filters.
Select Reel as the Type of Message.
Select either Direct Publish or Publish via Mobile under the Publishing Type.
Click Select Video to choose the media from the Media Uploader (or Upload Video to select media to upload from your device).
NOTE: For Reels, you can only select & post up to 1 video media asset at a time.
Next, enter the Caption for the Instagram reel. Additionally, click the Emoji Picker icon from the Caption box to open the emoji menu. Use the icons at the top to browse categories, or search the emoji. Click your chosen emoji, and it'll be added to your message.
After adding the video, you can change the thumbnail for the video.
After you've selected a video, hover over the video, click the Options icon, and select Change Thumbnail.
In the Media Uploader window, select the Prominent Frame for the reels video.
Note:
For Instagram direct publishing of reels video, you can select a thumbnail either from the video or select any other image as the thumbnail.
By default, it will select the frame at the 0th second.
Click Use this frame in the bottom right corner of the Media Uploader window.
Under Tag Users, select the exact exact Instagram user handle to tag instagram profiles to tag them in the reel.
Under Tag Collaborators, select the collaborators from the dropdownn.
Note: You can select collaborators even if you have not tagged them in the reel. To learn more about Tagging and adding Collaborators, click here.
Dev Note: We have added new flags "isCollaboratorRequestAccepted" in Universal Message additional and "IS_COLLABORATOR_REQUEST_ACCEPTED" in Outbound Post which will be set as True only if at least one collaborator has accepted the request.
A backend job runs to keep the status of collaboration request in sync and it is configurable. By default it is running every 1 hour and will pick the posts from last 7 days OR max 100 posts per IG account.
Under Audio Name, choose and enter an appropriate audio name for the reel.
Under Tag Location, select the locations from the dropdown.
Check the Share to Feed box to share a reel on the Instagram feed. It boosts views and gets more traffic.
Select the Add Post to Sprinklr Link in Bio toggle to add the Reel on your Link in Bio feed as well. Add a redirect Link/ Tag products for the post if needed.
If you wish, enter content or hashtags under the First Comment Box
The First Comment is great for hashtags or any other information that you might not want to show initially within your caption.
Instagram only allows 30 hashtags per post - this is counted across captions and comments. For example, if you add 20 hashtags in your caption and another 20 in your first comment, the comment will not be posted.
Character Limits for the First Comment box is 2200 characters.
Note: First comment is controllable at DP level. Its currently available for 5 channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter & Youtube, TikTok.
If you have chosen Publish via Mobile then in the User to notify field, select the user who is responsible for publishing to Instagram via the mobile app. This user will receive the publishing notification and will need to have access to the native Instagram account on his or her mobile device. Note that the selected user will receive a notification through the mobile app immediately or at the scheduled time. For more information, see Publish Instagram Reels via Mobile App.
Select a campaign from the Campaign drop-down menu to associate your Reels with. You can also set your campaign as default by clicking Set as Default. You can also select a sub-campaign from the Sub-Campaign drop-down menu to associate your Reels with.
You can select URL Shortener to shorten every link that you paste into your message. This helps you make the most of the character limit. Select Tags and Social Bars from the drop-down menu respectively.
Apply Properties to the Reel.
Under Approval, set an Approval Type for your Reel. You can also add an Approval Note.
The preview of the post will render on the right pane. Also, you can click the Preview icon in the bottom left corner next to Schedule Post if you have minimized the Create Post window.
To Publish click Post in the bottom right corner on the selected Instagram Account immediately. If you are not ready to publish and want to save your post as a draft, click Save as Draft.
You can also schedule your post for a future date and time by clicking the Schedule Post in the bottom left corner. Select the month, date, and time of publishing. Click Apply to save your changes. Additionally, You can check the Smart Scheduling box at the bottom of the Scheduler box.
To continue publishing another post, check the given Publish Another box at the bottom.
Video formatting guidelines
Here is the recommended Video formatting guidelines for Instagram Reels:
Container: MOV or MP4 (MPEG-4 Part 14), no edit lists, moov atom at the front of the file.
Audio codec: AAC, 48khz sample rate maximum, 1 or 2 channels (mono or stereo).
Video codec: HEVC or H264, progressive scan, closed GOP, 4:2:0 chroma subsampling.
Frame rate: 23-60 FPS.
Picture size:
Maximum columns (horizontal pixels): 1920
Minimum aspect ratio[cols / rows]: 4 / 5
Maximum aspect ratio[cols / rows]: 16 / 9
Video bitrate: VBR, 5Mbps maximum
Audio bitrate: 128kbps
Duration:
15 mins via direct publishing
90 secs via mobile flow publishing.
File size: 1 GB maximum
Limitations
Tagging Account, Product Stickers, Using Music from Instagram are both an API Limitation currently. However you can Explore Link in Bio Stores for tagging products on Reel Posts.
Publishing of single video posts is deprecated. On publishing a single video post, it will be published and grabbed as a reel for engagement.
