X Housing, Lending, and Employment (HLE) Compliance

Updated

Advertisers must adhere to certain policies such as Special Ad Category for Facebook, Housing, Lending, and Employment (HLE) policy for X, and Credit, Housing, or Employment (CHE) policy for Snapchat in order to protect people against discrimination in housing, employment, and credit advertising. In this article, you will learn how to align with the HLE compliance policy for X within Sprinklr.

HLE Compliance for X

Sprinklr is aligned with the X Housing, Lending, and/or Employment (HLE) Ads policies. Any X Ad Account that has been whitelisted natively for HLE Ads will have the following targeting restrictions while composing and updating campaigns:

  • Age Range targeting will only be allowed for ages over 18.

  • Zip Code and City targeting (i.e. cities and postal code values for location targeting) are not allowed.

  • Language, Gender, Interest, Followers of Users, Similar to Followers of Users, and Tailored Audience Expanded targeting types are not allowed.

  • For newly created and existing Ad Sets and Audiences, the restricted targeting parameters will not be editable.

  • Age will be editable with only the 18+ option, and Location will be editable (but will not show cities).

Publishing or updating any Ad Set would reset all the restricted targeting parameters for them. For Age, any other age option will be replaced by 18+, and city options for Location will be removed.

To get your X Ad Accounts whitelisted, please reach out to your X representative.

Note

Ad Accounts that are NOT whitelisted for HLE will continue with the current behavior, and no changes are required for such Ad Accounts.
