Publish Instagram reels via Empower app (Distributed mobile app)

USE CASE

This capability is useful to the Distributed Users (Agents, Sales Executives) who need to post Instagram Reels from the Sprinklr Distributed mobile app or the Empower app.

VALUE

You can schedule and publish to Instagram accounts through the Sprinklr Distributed Mobile App - the Empower App. Publishing through the Empower app allows you to draft content using saved media assets and schedule content for publication.

AVAILABILITY

While the final action of publishing to Instagram requires you to use the Instagram app, you may draft a post and schedule it for publication using the web app as well as the mobile app.

HOW TO SET IT UP

To schedule and publish Instagram reels via Sprinklr mobile app

  1. Log into the Distributed mobile app and tap the Menu icon baseline_menu_black_18dp.png in the bottom right corner.

  2. Tap Create Post at the top of the screen, and in the Select Template pop-up screen, tap Reel as the desired post type from the drop-down menu.

  3. Next, either tap ADD FROM DEVICE to upload content from your device or tap ADD FROM DAM to upload content stored in the Digital Asset Manager. 

  4. After adding the video, you can change the thumbnail for the video.

    • After you've selected a video, click Change Thumbnail at the bottom right corner of the reels video.

    • Next, select the prominent frame for the reels video.

  5. Under Write Caption, enter text to add a caption to your post. Tap Next in the bottom right corner.

  6. In the Optimize screen, fill in the required details.

    • If you wish to share your reel on the Instagram feed, slide the toggle button Screen Shot 2017-09-18 at 11.07.13 AM.png alongside the Share to Feed option.

    • Additonally, slide the toggle button Screen Shot 2017-09-18 at 11.07.13 AM.png alongside to publish the Post as a Story.

    • Next choose either Direct publish or Publish via app option.

  1. Enter in any additional Properties about the post such as Campaign, URL Shortener, etc.

  2. Toggle the approval button to set an Approval Type for your post. You can also add an Approval Note.

  3. Toggle the Scheduling button Screen Shot 2017-09-18 at 11.07.13 AM.png to schedule your post for a custom date and time.

  4. To immediately publish the Instagram reel, click Publish in the bottom right corner of the Optimize screen.

  5. Additionally, to save the Instagram post as a draft, click Save as Draft in the bottom left corner of the Optimize screen.

  1. If you have choosen Publish via Mobile then in the User to notify field, select the user who is responsible for publishing to Instagram via the mobile app. This user will receive the publishing notification and will need to have access to the native Instagram account on his or her mobile device. Note that the selected user will receive a notification through the mobile app immediately or at the scheduled time.

  2. Enter in any additional Properties about the post such as Campaign, URL Shortener, etc.

  5. Click Publish in the bottom right corner of the Optimize screen. To save the Instagram post as a draft, click Save as Draft in the bottom left corner of the Optimize screen.

  6. Once your post is published, you will receive an in-app notification when your post is ready for publishing. Tap the Notification icon Screen Shot 2018-05-01 at 2.05.58 PM.pngin the bottom bar and tap Instagram post notification to view.

  7. In the Details screen, tap Publish On Instagram in the bottom left corner.

  8. Next, in the Publish on Instagram pop-up screen, tap Open Instagram at the bottom and it will automatically open the Instagram app.

  9. In the Instagram native account fill in the required steps. For more information, see Reels.

  10. Once published, tap the Options icon  on your Instagram Reel and tap Copy Link. The reel's share link will be copied to your clipboard.

  11. Return to Sprinklr Mobile App and open the Instagram post notification. Tap Mark Post as Published. The link will automatically be pasted under Mark As Published. You are just required to confirm it.

  12. Tap Mark As Published in the bottom right corner.
