DP Mismatch Information

Updated

This feature is introduced to address discrepancies in enabled Dynamic Properties (DP) during migration between production, staging, and development environments. Such inconsistencies can lead to significant debugging challenges, resulting in wasted time and project delays.

By ensuring consistency across environments, this feature helps streamline the process and improve overall efficiency.

Use Case

Migrations often fail due to differences in enabled DPs across environments. These mismatches can cause unintended behaviors, requiring extensive debugging to identify the root cause. By proactively alerting users to DP mismatches, we can prevent these issues and ensure a smoother migration process.

To use this feature,

  • From the Outbound Change Set page, hover the mouse over three dots and select Export.

  • In the downloaded Export excelsheet, a new sheet named Dynamic Properties Difference has been introduced that highlight Mismatch DP, Value in Source, and Value in Destination columns, allowing users to review and address them before proceeding with the migration.

Benefits

  • Reduced Debugging Time – Teams can identify and resolve DP mismatches upfront.

  • Lower Migration Risk – Proactive alerts prevent unexpected failures.

  • Improved Efficiency – Faster and more reliable migrations between environments.

Note: Access to this feature is controlled by the dynamic property.
