Permission Added to Control Access to Message-Level Data in Reporting

Updated

Overview

A new Reporting permission has been added in Sprinklr to control users' ability to drill into data in Reporting. This permission can help brands provide users the ability to analyze data while protecting sensitive message-level information that can be drilled into from Reporting.

This help topic is for the Sprinklr V3 version, which has been deprecated. A corresponding article for the Sprinklr Space version is coming soon.

Check out our Getting Started Guides to learn more about the Sprinklr Space Experience.

The below image displays the Reporting drill-down menu, which is accessible by clicking on a data point in a Reporting widget. Access to this menu will now be controlled by the permission Enable Drilldown, and users without this Reporting permission will be unable to drill into Reporting data.

Note: No previous permissions have been affected. Existing users with the ability to view Reporting drill-down data will continue to have access to the drill-down menu unless their role is changed by a System Admin.

To Add or Remove the Enable Drilldown Permission

  1. In the top navigation bar, under the Administration drop-down, click Settings.

  2. Click the  icon in the upper left corner to open the left-side menu, and click Roles under Manage Partner or Manage Client.

  3. To edit the permissions of an existing role, click Edit on the desired role. To add this permission to a new role, click Add Role in the upper right corner.

  4. To remove the permission from a role, click the delete icon  alongside the Reporting permission Enable Drilldown. Users with access to Reporting who do not have the permission Enable Drilldown will be able to access data but will be unable to drill into reporting data for more granular reporting information, like message-level data.

  5. To add this permission to a role, click the add icon Icon_Add_Rule.png in the Permissions section. Under Reporting permissions, click Enable Drilldown to add to the role.

  6. Click Save Changes to apply the permissions set.
