Permission to Save as Draft

Updated

Overview

A new Publishing permission can be enabled in Sprinklr environments to control users' ability to save posts as drafts. When enabled, this permission will control the visibility of the Save as Draft option on outbound messages. For certain users who do not have access to the Planner or do not need to use the draft function in Sprinklr, removing this permission from their Role can ensure that content is not accidentally drafted when it should be published.

This help topic is for the Sprinklr V3 version, which has been deprecated. A corresponding article for the Sprinklr Space version is coming soon.

  2. Click the Icon_Hamburger_Menu.png icon in the top left corner to open the left-side menu, and select Roles under Manage Client or Manage Partner, depending on the type of Role you'd like to update. Note that Client Roles will override Partner Roles within their respective Client environments.

  3. Find the Role for which you'd like to add or remove the permission to create drafts in the publisher and select Edit to make changes to the details of the Role, including the Role's permissions.

  4. In Publishing permissions, you'll find the permission Create Draft. If this permission is not currently assigned to the role and you wish to add it, click the  icon to select from available permissions. To remove, locate the permission in existing permissions and click the delete icon . Adding or removing this permission will control the visibility of the Save as Draft option to all users assigned to this Role.

  5. Click Save to apply changes.

Result

When the Create Draft permission is removed from a role, the Save as Draft option, usually present at the bottom of the New Message window of both Quick Publish and the full page Publisher, alongside the Post option, does not appear within the Publisher window.

Likewise, this option will also be removed from the response window. This publish window appears when responding to a message, through options like Reply, Editable ReTweet, Comment, and Comment on Post.

When the permission to Create Draft is removed, the option Draft New Post will not be present in the Publish menu, accessed by clicking the publish icon  in the top navigation bar.
