Using a WeChat Proxy account can connect and manage a single account on multiple third-party tools. You are required to set up a third-party server between Sprinklr and Wechat, which connects to WeChat directly and to Sprinklr via Oauth. This third-party will help you in connecting a single WeChat account to multiple platforms. 

For WeChat Proxy, Sprinklr supports every capability that is supported for WeChat Publishing and Engagement. However, it also depends on the compatibility of the third-party tool. For WeChat Capabilities on Sprinklr, see WeChat Capabilities and Limitations. 

Before You Begin

You are required to set up a third-party server between Sprinklr and Wechat.

Steps to Add a WeChat Proxy Account

1. Click the New Tab icon . Under the Governance Console, click Accounts within Platform Setup.

2. In the Accounts (Settings) window, click Add Account in the top right corner. 

3. In the Add Account window, search and select WeChat Proxy from the list of channels.

4. In the Add WeChat Proxy Account window, enter the details for your new account. For more information, see Add WeChat Proxy Account — Field Descriptions.

5. Click Save in the bottom right corner to add the account details. Next, you'll be able to edit your account details and permission the account.

6. In the Update Account window, 

   • Edit basic details of your account in Account Details, including changing the name of the account as it appears in Sprinklr, changing the Sprinklr User who is the owner of the account, creating a custom character count (which will apply to replies sent in Sprinklr), a default URL shortener, and an auto-populated signature to appear in replies sent from Sprinklr.

   • Under Groups to include Account in, select if you'd like to add the WeChat account to any Account Groups

   • Under Permissions, permission channel actions to Users and User Groups who should have access to the account. Learn more in Account Permissions.

   • Under Share this Account Across Spaces, choose the Workspaces that you would like the account to be visible in or share across all Workspaces to make the account visible globally within your Customer environment.

   • Under Subscribers, select Users or User Groups to subscribe them to account notifications.

   • Under Timezone, select a country and time zone to associate to the account if desired.

   • Under Properties, set any account properties as needed.

7. Click Save in the bottom right corner to apply your selections.

Limitations

• Due to a third-party hop, the connection stability and latency are dependent on the third-party platform.

• The types of accounts supported and functionalities might get limited.

• Few capabilities that can only be managed by the platform which connects directly to the WeChat will not be available in Sprinklr for WeChat Proxy Accounts:

  • Custom Menu

  • Auto Response (based on keywords)

  • On follow Auto Response
