Integrate Branded URL Shortener with Sprinklr
Updated
Branded URL shorteners with a custom domain can be used to customize the links that you include in content, ensuring that links are always on-brand. If using a branded shortener with a custom domain, we recommend that you stay with a 3-letter domain name if possible. Short links help content from appearing cluttered and can be especially useful when working within a character limit on channels like Twitter. The “.ly” extension has become a convention, but others are available.
Note: Any new URL shortener added to the Sprinklr platform will be restricted within the partner. If you want to limit the use of your existing URL shortener within a partner, please work with your Success Manager.
To Configure a Branded Shortener with a Custom Domain
Find a domain name registrar after you have decided upon an appropriate domain name.
Set up your domain. There are the following ways to set up this domain:
If your domain controller/DNS manager supports CNAME mapping, then map your domain as listed below:
For the app.sprinklr.com environment map your domain's CNAME record to spr.ly.
For the prod2.sprinklr.com environment map your domain's CNAME record to splr.io.
For the prod3.sprinklr.com environment map your domain’s CNAME record to spkl.io.
For the prod4.sprinklr.com environment map your domain’s CNAME record to srkl.in.
For the prod6.sprinklr.com environment map your domain’s CNAME record to spgv.io.
For the prod8.sprinklr.com environment map your domain’s CNAME record to spklr.io.
For the prod11.sprinklr.com environment map your domain’s CNAME record to srkr.io.
For the prod15.sprinklr.com environment map your domain’s CNAME record to spklu.io.
Note: Sprinklr recommends that you set the time-to-live (TTL) to 300 seconds.
If your domain controller/DNS manager does not support CNAME mapping, then update your A Records to point the domain to the following IP addresses:
Note: For more information about contacting your DNS service provider, reach out to your System Admin.
For the app.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following multiple IP addresses:
107.23.241.98
107.23.223.185
107.23.241.100
107.23.241.99
54.236.70.234
54.236.67.202
Note: If the shortened URL is not a root domain, for example, sh.domain.com then, instead of mapping the domain to the given IP addresses using A records, you can map the domain to cname.spr.ly using a CNAME record.
A canonical name record (CNAME) is used to identify multiple domain names that point to the same IP address. Example: app.sprinklr.com, prod0.sprinklr.com, prod2.sprinklr.com, prod3.sprinklr.com, and prod4.sprinklr.com.
For the prod2.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
40.70.159.123
40.70.156.155
20.186.186.55
40.70.156.130
For the prod3.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
40.127.226.128
40.127.226.134
For the prod4.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
15.197.177.228
99.83.248.8
For the prod6.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
54.158.82.16
54.160.124.66
For the prod8.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
34.110.218.220
For the prod11.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
76.223.33.167
15.197.176.57
For the prod15.sprinklr.com environment, point the domain to all the following IP addresses:
3.29.120.242
3.28.111.134
Re-confirm the IP addresses before setting up the DNS.
Once the DNS setup has been completed, send a mail to your Sprinklr Account Manager to set up your short URL within Sprinklr.
Note: You can verify the A records for a domain with a DNS lookup website like mxtoolbox.com before entering it in Sprinklr.
