How to Map Custom Field Values from Ad Variants to Outbound Posts using Paid Rules

You can use the Paid Rule Engine to tag Outbound Posts used in your ads or campaigns based on paid custom properties. In this article, we will guide you through the conditions and actions that can be used to implement this use case.

To Tag Outbound Posts

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under the Sprinklr Marketing (Ads) tab, click Manage Rules within Optimize.

  2. In the top-right corner of the Rule Engine window, click Create New Rule.

  3. On the New Rule window, enter a Name and Description for your rule.

  4. Select Customer from the Rule Scope drop-down menu and Paid from the Context drop-down menu.

  5. Enter the other details as required and click Next in the bottom-right corner.

  6. On the Rule Builder window, click the  Screen Shot 2017-10-05 at 1.11.49 PM.png  icon and set the Conditions and Actions. For more information, see Rule Conditions — Descriptions and Rule Actions — Descriptions.

  7. Click Save in the bottom-right corner.

Limitations

  • Tagging of Outbound Posts will not be applicable for Dynamic Creatives, Dynamic Product Ads, and posts with Placement Asset Customization.

  • Inline (dark) posts that do not have a comment yet will not be tagged using this rule.

  • Outbound Post tagging will not work for Snapchat and LINE.

Account

Select the account(s) for which you want to include or exclude outbound posts from the Dark Post rule condition.

Campaign

Select a campaign for which you want to control the custom properties.

Custom Properties

Set the custom fields of the outbound post to their corresponding values. For example, CF1 set X.

Note that using this option will override existing values (if available) for the outbound posts. Please stay in sync with your organic publishing team when using this option.

You can also leverage the below operators based on your action for custom properties:

  • Set if absent

  • Unset

  • Remove

Custom Properties

Select from the list of Ad Variant custom properties to map with the outbound post custom properties.
