Set a User's Default Handle

Updated 

When a default handle is set, the response account used will default to that handle. This preference will only affect responses made over that channel.

Admin Set-up 

Admins have the ability to set default handles for users.

To Set Default Handles for a User

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under the Governance Console, select Users within Platform Setup.
  2. Hover over the user Options icon baseline_more_vert_black_18dp.png for whom you'd like to set a default handle and select Update Default Handles.PlatformSettings_Users_UpdateDefaultHandles.png
  3. In the Update default handles for User pop-up window, fill in the desired details. For more information, see Update Default Handles — Field Descriptions.PlatformSettings_Users_UpdateDefaultHandlesWindow.png
  4. Click Save in the bottom right corner of the Update default handles for User pop-up window.

Term Description
Select Channel Select the desired social channel from the drop-down menu.
Select Handle Based on your selected social channel, select the desired handle from the drop-down menu.
Add New Default Handle Click this to add a new default handle for the user.

To Edit Default Handles

  1. In the Users window, hover over the user Options icon baseline_more_vert_black_18dp.png and select Edit. You can make the desired changes under the Default Handles section.

  2. Click Save in the bottom right corner.
