Manage Activities on Yelp via Sprinklr

Sprinklr allows you to add your Yelp account to bring full-text reviews in real-time to engage with. This enables you to monitor and respond to reviews in real-time. While responding to the reviews, you can add Links, Canned Responses, Custom Links, and Content Placeholders to your response.

To Add a Yelp Account

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under Governance Console, click Accounts within Platform Setup.

  2. In the top right corner of the Accounts window, click Add Account.

  3. On the Add Account window, select Yelp Location from the list of channels.

  4. Log in to your Yelp account and perform the authentication.LogIn_YelpAccount.PNG

  5. On the Select the accounts you want to add window, select the account(s) that you want to add and click Add in the bottom right corner of the Select the accounts you want to add window.YelpAccountAddition_Locations.PNG

  6. Next, you'll be redirected to the 

    Update Account

     window where you can add as well as edit the details of your Yelp Location account. 

    Note:

    On the Update Account window, you can't update profile image, or page info, including description and website.

  7. Click Save in the bottom right corner to add a new Yelp Location account in Sprinklr.

To Respond to Reviews For Yelp

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under Sprinklr Social, click Engagement Dashboard within Engage.

  2. Click Add Column in the top right corner of the Engagement dashboard.

  3. Select Yelp Location from the available sources for your new column.

  4. Click Yelp Location Review as the column type from the left column.Yelp_Column.png

  5. Enter the details for the new Yelp location column you are creating. For more information, see Yelp Location Column — Field Descriptions.

  6. Click Create Column to create the new column. Upon creation, your column will be available in the current dashboard.

  7. On the Engagement Dashboard screen, click the Public Comment icon Space_Icon_Reply details pane action.png for the Yelp review you'd like to respond to.

  8. Enter your response in the Public Comment window. For more information, see Public Comment — Field Descriptions.

  9. Click Post to publish your response to the review or Save as Draft to save a draft version of your post. You can also schedule your post for a future date and time by clicking Schedule icon  in the bottom left. Select the month, date, and time of publishing. Click Apply to save your changes.

Basic Information
Name

Enter a name for the column.

Account

Select the Yelp account.

Description

Enter the optional description for the column.

Keywords

Enter the keywords separated by commas. Only the posts containing these keywords will be fetched. 

Exclude Keywords

Enter the keywords separated by commas. Only the posts which do not contain these keywords will be fetched. 

Default Date Range

Set the date range for the column.

Sort

Select to sort the messages in the column.

Campaign

Select a campaign to be associated with the messages in the column.

Show 

Select the messages you would like to see in the column.

Refresh Time

Select the refresh time for the column feed.

Notify New Messages

Select to get a notification for every new message.

Column Color

Set the color of the column.

Workflow Properties - Enter the workflow properties as desired.
Custom Properties - Set the custom properties to be associated with the Yelp column.

 

Public Comment — Field Descriptions

This is the account from which you are responding to the reviews.

Message Type

The message type will appear as Public Comment.

Message Box

Enter your response in the message box. You can add Links, Canned Responses (Templated Text Assets), Custom Links, and Content Placeholders to your response.

Campaign

Select a campaign from the drop-down menu to associate your post with. You can also set your campaign ‘as default’ by clicking Set as Default.

URL Shortener

Select a URL shortener to shorten every link that you paste in your post. This helps you make the most of the character limit.

Custom Properties

Set the custom properties to be associated with your post as desired.

Approval Type

Select an approval type if required. 

Note

Enter an additional note to be associated with your response.

►What is a Yelp Business account? 

 A Yelp business user account allows you to connect with customers, including those who have written reviews for your business.

►Do I need to have a Yelp business account to be able to respond to reviews? 

 Yes, you cannot authenticate the non-business accounts in Sprinklr.

►Do I need to send encrypted IDs to Support before adding Yelp pages to my business locations? 

No. You can directly copy and paste Yelp URLs to the source tab inside business locations.

►Will this new method have an impact on previously added encrypted URLs? 

No. The previously added encrypted URLs will keep on fetching the data error-free.

►If I just want to monitor and moderate Yelp reviews, do I need to purchase Location Insights? 

No, Yelp reviews can be moderated and engaged through Sprinklr Social. But, the accounts would not be associated with a business location in Sprinklr and the reviews would not be aggregated in a single place.

►Do I need to have some sort of relationship with Yelp to be able to moderate comments?

 No. You need to: 1) Have a business account; 2) Have your account authenticated in Sprinklr to be able to moderate comments.

► Do I need to pay to Yelp to be able to respond to reviews?

No. You need to: 1) Have a business account; 2) Have your account authenticated in Sprinklr to be able to respond to the reviews.

►Can I pull in competitor’s reviews for my business location?

Yes. All sources for which data is fetched through URLs (not accounts), the competitor locations can be tracked as well.

►How can I pull in competitor data for my business location on Yelp?

You need to create a business location for your competitor and simply add a Yelp URL for your competitor under the source tab. Don’t forget to mark this location as Competitor Location  and specify the competitor brand.

►Can I moderate competitor comments through Sprinklr?

 No. For engaging with reviews, you need to have your account verified which can only be done for your locations.
