ProRes Transcoding for Videos
Updated
Whenever you upload a ProRes video in Quick Publisher, you will see an option to transcode the video before publishing. The final file format of the video will be within channel limits after transcoding. In this article, you will learn about how to transcode a ProRes video in Publisher when you are creating a post.
Transcode videos from Publisher
Navigate to the Sprinklr Social tab, click Quick Publish within Engage.
In the Create Post window, search and select the required account in the Select Accounts field. You can also use Advanced Search to narrow your searches by a series of different filters.
Once you have selected the account you would like to publish to, enter the content for the post in the Message box.
ClickVideo to add a video using the Media Uploader or upload from your computer. Once the video is uploaded in Quick Publish, click Post in the bottom right corner to publish the post.
If it is ProRes Video then you will receive a prompt that the video is not compatible within the Preview tab of the Create Post window.
Additional points to note -
You can select the option to transcode the video in Sprinklr.
You will only be able to post once the video is transcoded.
While the video is getting transcoded, (in order to unblock you from publishing), you can minimize the window and open another window for drafting other posts or do any stuff in Sprinklr.
On the minimized window you would be able to see the status of transcoding. Once transcoding is done, you can continue drafting the post by expanding the publisher window.
Transcode videos while uploading in DAM
Navigate to the Sprinklr Social tab, click Asset within Engage.
In the Asset Manager Dashboard, click the Create Asset icon in the top right corner.
Select Video in the Create Asset drop-down menu.
In the Media Uploader pop-up window, select the video file from your device (alternatively drag and drop from your device).
Once the video is uploaded, click Save in the bottom right corner of the Media Uploader pop-up window.
As soon as the video is uploaded, Sprinklr checks for compatibility and send video for transcoding.
You will receive a notification when transcoding is completed.
After transcoding, the preview will be playable within the Preview tab of the Create New Video Asset window.
In the Create New Video Asset window, fill in the asset description as per your requirements and click Save in the bottom right corner.
Transcode videos already present in DAM
Sprinklr would have already transcoded video (either using auto-transcoding or on request from you).
You can simply create the post and publish based upon the steps mentioned under If Video is Uploaded in Sprinklr for the First Time.
