Manage macros

Macros are used to execute multiple actions on an entity with a single click. Macros can be used to make multiple changes to entities at once, creating efficiencies in your workflows.

Within Macro Management, you can edit, clone, or delete a macro. Also, you can audit the activity performed on a Macro.

To Edit a Macro

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under Governance Console, click Macros within Platform Setup.

  2. On the Platform Settings window, select Manage Workspace from the left of the window.

  3. Select Macros from the given options.

  4. Hover over the desired Macro's Options icon  and select Edit.

  5. On the Update Macro window, edit the details of the Macro and click Save in the bottom right corner to save the changes.

To Clone a Macro

  1. Hover over the desired Macro's Options icon  and select Clone. Cloning macro lets you make a copy of the original action and use it without having to create it from scratch.

  2. Enter a Name for the cloned copy of the Macro and click Clone in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.

To View Activity on a Macro

  1. Hover over the desired Macro's Options icon and select Activity.

  2. On the Activity pane at the right, you will be able to see if any changes have been made to the Macro. You can see the users who have made changes to the Macro, the type of change that has been made, and the date & time on which the change was made.

To Delete a Macro

  1. Hover over the desired Macro's Options icon  and select Delete.Clicking on the Options Icon alongside the Desired Macro and Selecting Delete from the List of Options

  2. On the Delete Macro pop-up window, click Delete to delete the macro permanently. You can only delete the macros that you have created.
