Add Guardrails

Updated

Custom Prompts enable the customization of responses based on predetermined criteria, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines or other standards. Rule Based Guardrails, on the other hand, facilitate decision-making processes through the implementation of predefined conditions and actions.

Note: Digital Twin is currently in limited availability. Sprinklr is seeking definition partners for this feature. For further information, please contact your Success Manager or the Product Team.

Custom Prompts

For a Prompt Guardrail, begin by assigning it a Name. Then, specify When to Use, outlining the circumstances under which this guardrail should be applied. Next, define the Constraint, which sets the specific criteria or limitations the Digital Twin must adhere to in its responses. Finally, provide a Response, detailing the corrective action or message the Digital Twin should employ if the constraint is violated.

For example, you might implement a guardrail named "Competitor Mentions" with the constraint that the Digital Twin must refrain from mentioning specific brand competitors. If violated, the response could be a message redirecting the conversation back to the brand's products or services.

Rule Based Guardrails

For a Rule Guardrail, first, assign it a Name that reflects its purpose or function. Once named, proceed to configure the Decision Tree structure. This involves outlining both success and failure nodes to guide the Digital Twin's behavior based on predefined conditions.

For instance, consider a guardrail named "Sensitive Information Handling." In this scenario, the Decision Tree structure would delineate steps for handling customer queries containing sensitive information. The success node might direct the Digital Twin to provide a secure link for submitting such details privately, ensuring data confidentiality. Conversely, the failure node could prompt the Digital Twin to apologize for its inability to process sensitive information and offer alternative support channels for further assistance. This Decision Tree structure ensures that the Digital Twin appropriately handles sensitive data in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
