Audit Trail of Rules

Updated

Sprinklr supports an audit trail for rules. In the Rule Engine, the audit trail of a rule will contain a log of changes made to the rule, the Sprinklr user who made the changes, and the time when the changes were made. Use this feature for additional insights and tracking the changes that have been made to rules.

To View the Audit Trail of a Rule

  1. Click the New Tab icon Screen Shot 2017-09-25 at 1.52.25 PM.png. Under Governance Console, click Manage Rules within Platform Setup.

  2. Hover over the desired Rule's Options icon  and select Edit.

  3.  On the Rule Builder window, click the Options icon Space_Icon_Options (Horizontal).png in the top right corner and select Workflow.

  4. In the workflow of a rule, you will see the users who have made changes to the rule, the type of change that was made, the object of the change, a display of exact changes, and the date on which the changes were made.

In a Rule's Audit Trail

The audit trail for any rule contains a detailed log of confirmed changes. A confirmed change can occur even when changes to the rule have not yet been saved. When you create, edit, or delete a condition or an action within a rule, you are asked to confirm your changes. The audit trail captures these updates to conditions and actions and displays the following information:

  • Updated - This type of change occurs when an existing condition is edited and saved. The audit trail will contain the condition or action's state prior to and after the update.

  • Created - When a condition or action is added to a rule, the audit trail will include a summary of the condition or action that was added.

  • Deleted - When a condition or action is deleted, the audit trail will display the summary of the condition or action prior to its deletion.

Not included in the audit trail are the changes that do not require confirmation. You will not find the following types of changes in a rule's audit trail:

  • Removal or creation of rule branches

  • Connection or disconnection of target endpoints

  • Layout or placement changes

Note

When you edit an original post of a Brand, Sprinklr logs all native edits made on inbound posts in the Sprinklr audit trail and the brand automatically receives an alert on this change. This change is applicable for these channels - Facebook, Trustpilot, LinkedIn, Google Play Store, Google Business, Pinterest, YouTube, and Lithium.
