View and Restore Previous Versions of a Rule

Overview
In the Rule Engine, Sprinklr now displays previous versions of saved rules. A rule's previous versions will display the iterations of the rule as it has been updated and saved over time. You can select a past version to see the exact configuration of the at that time. You can also restore a previous version of a rule and save the rule based on the rule's previous configuration. This feature allows you to track what changes to rules have been saved over time and lets you easily revert back to a previous version.

Note: Previous versions of rules will only contain information following the 10.1.0 Sprinklr release. Rules created prior to this release will only contain Previous Versions for changes made after the release. |
View a Rule's Previous Versions
- Navigate to the Rule Engine under the Administration drop-down menu of the top navigation bar.
- Click the edit icon
on the rule you'd like to see previous versions of.
- To view the previous versions of the rule, click the
icon in the upper right corner and select View Previous Versions.
- On the right side of the Rule Engine, you'll see recent iterations of your rule. Up to twenty versions of any given rule will display. Click on any version to see the rule's configuration at that time. You can also select View Update Summary to see the changes that took place when that version was saved.
You can interact with previous versions of the rule as well, however unless you've first restored the version, when you leave the Previous Versions, your rule will return to its most recent saved state.
Restore a Rule's Previous Version
If you'd like to restore a previous save, you can click Restore this Version while a past version of the rule is selected. The previous version of the rule will become the current version, but the version of the rule that you reverted from will not be lost. You'll find it in the Previous Versions log.
