How does user auto provisioning work?

Updated

Summary:

New users for the client can be automatically created by logging into the platform for the first time using SSO. Using Sprinklr’s auto provisioning feature, the required fields for a particular user are autopopulated from the SSO SAML response. This article details a basic explanation for the working of auto provisioning.

How User Auto Provisioning Works:

  1. SSO Configuration: Initially the SSO configuration would take place for the client.

  2. Auto Provisioning Mapping Configuration: Mapping Sheet needs to be filled from client’s side, this contains details of which SSO attribute will be mapped to which Sprinklr field for the user. Once the sheet is completely filled in, support can help with configuring it in the customer environment. Please create a ticket or email to support@sprinklr.com

  3. Automatic setup of new users when they log in to Sprinklr: The first time an employee logs into the Sprinklr app via SSO, an account is automatically created, with the appropriate Sprinklr permissions granted. The permissions are set based on the information that we received via SAML assertion from the Identity Provider.

Skip If Auto Provisioning Exist

Auto Provisioning allows customer to leverage Sprinklr’s self user creation capability mapping certain fields from SSO response at first login constant. The customer database updates regularly changing SSO response for users updating CF initialized at first login/ user creation affecting roles and permission.

Skip if Auto Provisioning Exist allows to skip updation of some predefined CF’s initially mapped through SSO response even database of customer gets updated regularly.

Note: This feature comes with Limited Availability. Get in touch with your Success Manager to enable this feature.
