Limitations
100% coverage should not be expected for source verified News channels as well. Vendors try to capture as much data as possible keeping crawler capabilities & news site structure in consideration but there could be some cases of misses.
Sometimes, news articles may also be pulled in via news aggregator sites like news.google.com, which typically syndicates news from different native news domains. The main source of the news, however, remains the original news site only.
Crawlers typically crawl the first page of sections of the news at the time of crawling. Frequency of crawls vary from vendor to vendor.
Coverage on non-licensed paywalled News site data will typically be low and only the available extracts (partial articles) would be available.
Coverage on licensed paywalled News data will be as per vendor-publisher partnership.
Recrawl on older articles is not scalable.
Country tags are provided at domain level and are set by data vendors. Country is not present at the article level. Few global news sites may have countries as unknown/ US tagged.
