Languages supported in Social Listening

Updated

In this article, we will take a look at the languages supported and recognized by Sprinklr and the ways in which those languages can be used.

Highlights

  • 160+ Languages supported for recognition

  • Sentiment detection is supported for 100+ languages

  • Word Cloud & tokenization optimized for 100+ languages

  • Translation support for 130+ languages

The below languages can be identified and displayed within Sprinklr. Support, here, does not necessarily reflect support for special features like Rule Engine detection or the ability to translate the platform UI.

Supported languages

There are currently 3 different types of language coverage within Sprinklr's Social Listening: Recognition, Topic Query Optimization, and Sentiment.

  1. Recognition: Identifying the language of a piece of text. Language recognition allows users to include only specific languages when a query is built, or to filter results after the data has been pulled into Sprinklr (i.e. in Listening Insights dashboards).

  2. Query optimization*: The ability to search for results by using keywords from a particular language. Theoretically, Listening can be performed for keywords in languages other than these, but the quality of results will not be ensured.

  3. Sentiment*: Classifying the sentiment of a piece of text as positive, negative, or neutral.

Note: Both Traditional and Simplified Chinese are supported. You can set this language filter in the Apply Filters section. Ideally, using Traditional Chinese in the filter and using Traditional keywords in the query will fetch relevant mentions in traditional Chinese. Both Traditional and Simplified are supported by sentiment detection also.

Enablement note: To learn more about getting Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese languages enabled in your environment, please work with your success manager.
